MOVIE/TV QUIZ

Last quiz before real life calls me out to do weeding.

Name the films based on the characters listed and the item/clue - then take the first letter of each (confirming 4 letters is correct this time) and tell me how they are related to "Murder, She Wrote", "Blue Bayou" and "Dave".

1994 Andy Dufresne, Warden Norton, Ellis Boyd Redding, Captain Hadley, a geologists pick
1982 Carol Anne Freeling, Steve Freeling, Diane Freeling, Dana Freeling, a tv
1957 Travis Coates, Arliss Coates, Jim Coates, a big mongrel dog
1987 Dutch, Blain, Mac, Dillon, camo tech
S-hawshank
P-oltergeist
O-ld Yella
P-redator

Stumped about how this ties in to Angela Lansbery though :)

Guys - despite pretending to have some affinity to the UK types and cricket, Richie would prefer not to have T when it comes down to it.
Short for Richard RIMB, no T in that name. Like Richie Benaud. Sorry to sound pedantic but got a thing about it.

Ha! You fell for my trap.

You have every movie right but you have the name slightly off for one of them so you one letter wrong.

Edit: I expect I will give a clue to the final answer anyway but it is harder if you have a dodgy start.

Bit of trivia.

Which nation is credited with producing the first feature film.

Totally understandable - our name is our brand.

It would be as silly as calling me RIMFB (that extra letter chosen deliberately). Would make no sense at all!

Of course telling a public online forum with its resident trolls that you have a thing about being called Ritchie is not necessarily the smartest move ;)

I don't actually know what a "feature film" is and Snow White jumped to mind as the first full length something film from memory - which would make the USA the answer.

But there were silent movies before that and no doubt many other films too - so I will go with Britain first and back it up with a random Poland for fun.

MSC got it.

EDIT:

On Boxing Day 1906 The Story of the Kelly Gang opened at the Athenaeum Theatre in Melbourne. It was the first multi-reel, feature-length film ever produced in the world.

A still from the film.

Actually Australia went on to have a thriving silent film industry after this.

I wouldn't want you to go down that path and further tarnish the poor reputation and self-worth you have supporting South Melbourne.

So a very Melbourne-esk clue:

When constabulary duty's to be done, a policeman's lot is not a happy one.
damn you ... ive got a full on day and now THIS is going to be driving me batty ... someone else have a crack to save my sanity...... please.

It may actually be rebelliousfeminist974 who got it - I can't see MSC posting about the Kelly Gang above...?

This is a quote from a Gilbert and Sullivan play. Know this from my acting days. As far as I can go.

Maybe just name any of the three people from the 1983 film that you can and someone can both save your lazy arsed sanity and swoop for glory.
