NPL 2025

I agree kick them out but the system again isn't the issue.

I don't think removing the state feds would 'improve' the quality of Australian football in any way... You need a 'governing body' (in the loosest possible way lol) to help out with any level of comp in that state. Literally every country with more than 1 region or state does this. A small trimmed down governing body will make things worse.
Bro, we are saying the same things.

I want a 'governing body' in the loosest possible. That means not having a bunch of feds doing their own thing. I still like the npl.

Imagine running a business like that. You Maccas and a bunch of franchisees can't make burgers so they sell waffles instead. That's what it feels like at times.

We are not saying the same things mate.

I don't want a governing body in the loosest possible term. I just want people who are competent running the shows. You need at minimum a state fed for each state, removing them would be disastrous. You can't expect Football Australia to be running the whole show, you need to be able to delegate more region specific matters to that region. It would be like not having a premier of Victoria, NSW, WA etc

A somewhat similar thing has happened in Queensland. A couple of seasons ago, Football Queensland abolished the regional football federations (e.g., Football Wide Bay, Football Central Qld, Football North Qld, etc) and FQ took over the day-to-day running of the regional areas, with everything decided by and directed from FQ in Brisbane. It has been a disaster for football in regional Qld, i.e., anything outside the South-East corner (Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast).

You shouldn't be letting it loose and letting others with agendas running the show independently. I can't wait for FQ to provide 5 points for attacking play this year and 3 points for a try.

Led to believe the ffv will be covering the security costs of Preston v Heidelberg next week.

The word is the concern all along has been the realistic possibility of a certain MV sub section gatecrashing the match and causing trouble with Preston...as they attempted to do numerous times last season.

Sounds like Heidelberg doesnt want the blowback as hosts if it all kicks off.

Hopefully Horda and associated clowns stay away...beginning tomorrow night. Big 3 weeks coming up.
