Meh it's funnyFor an equaliser. Pretty telling for club with such a storied history
Are we surprised? No. South might have a somewhat 'negative' reputation (amongst a-league fans) but Victory have the most negative reputation in the country. Everyone is tired and fed up with there bullshit, talk to any hospo worker ...I questioned the crowd segregation tonight but those Victory fans behind the goals South were attacking were itching for a punch on. Spent the entire 2nd half calling South fans Turks and reminding everyone of there gutless pitch invasion a decade ago by chanting "wheres your bleach" (they threw bleach at kids)
Glad we dont have to go to that dump again this yr (we wont make grand final)

Atleast we have worked out that you know what a real history actually is!For an equaliser. Pretty telling for club with such a storied history
Is great!
Feedback from what I've seen across my pyramid travels:
- As far as I'm aware, FQPL2 does have relegation down to FQPL3 (but the actual structure of that, I'll have to confirm)
- ACT's Capital League doesn't have relegation down to CLO1 (although I believe CLO1 <> CLO2 does, but depends on which club finishes last, as at this stage, these are essentially 3rd/4th grades of some of the bigger NPL/CPL clubs
- WA - I don't believe has relegation from SL2 to the WA Amateur Leagues, but would have to confirm.
Cheers NCB. You're right with the FQPL2-3, it's 2 straight up/down.Actually @HappyGuus - one other question: the yellow/playoffs, is this just for playoffs in general (finals series), or specifically playoffs to be promoted/relegated?
If the latter, ACT's CPL only has the end of season Premiers promoted to the NPL, and the finals are just token top 4 for an extra trophy.
The Club that finishes in 8th position on the CPLM First Grade League Table in 2023 (typo I think) may be relegated to CLO in 2025
The Club that finishes in 1st position on the CLO1 League table in 2024 may be promoted to CPLM in 2025;
the Club whose First Team finishes in last place in State League Division 2 will occupy a relegation position and may be relegated to the Men’s Amateur Premier Division, and the Club whose First Team finishes in second last position in Division 2 will play off against the Club whose First Team finishes in second position the Men’s Amateur Premier Division
Ive gladly dropped money at Coopers st, Somers st and Olympic Village for rivalries and will do it again, but hand on heart I will never give another cent to MVFC home game for any reason!Whatever fans we have left go just to watch football, it was little surprise pretty much nobody from our side took their kids along tonight, game was a cracker with heaps of goals but that nonsense has no place in the game. They spent more time chanting vile crap whilst looking in the direction of the South fans instead of watching the game. Some of us wanted to be near the goal South were attacking in the 2nd half but walked away cos it was just too close to them. I ended up all the way behind the goals Victory were attacking so i wouldnt have to hear them. Worked out well in the end, last gasp equaliser and straight out the door.
I had some Victory supporters with me (old school South) but follow MV in the A league and they were absolutely fuming. Im kinda glad they saw it though, the racist stuff shocked them.Ive gladly dropped money at Coopers st, Somers st and Olympic Village for rivalries and will do it again, but hand on heart I will never give another cent to MVFC home game for any reason!
Bordeaux would like their club identity back...Atleast we have worked out that you know what a real history actually is!
All good - there’s a lot of info! Haha, but glad someone is doing it - it’s great to have all these things together, and yes some states have some confusing mechanisms in their pyramid.Cheers NCB. You're right with the FQPL2-3, it's 2 straight up/down.
CPL to CLO does seem to have a single spot from what I can tell, although the document is for 2024:
WA SL2 I think we've both got it wrong haha! It looks like there's 1.5 up/down there:
On the playoffs, yeah the way I've done it is if you can be promoted from it then it's playoffs. If you can't be promoted from it, it's finals. I wanted to distinguish between potential promotion/relegation spots and just a knockout tournament. Cheers for that CPL info, I've updated the tables now.
I'm a Victory supporter and I'd rather stand with the South fans! Come to think of it, I generally sit with the away fans hahaha. What does that say about my club?I had some Victory supporters with me (old school South) but follow MV in the A league and they were absolutely fuming. Im kinda glad they saw it though, the racist stuff shocked them.
Yeah most of these leagues state things like "may" or "might" when it comes to pro/rel. But at least these are the spots that are available if criteria is met. Also things like some youths or reserves teams can't go up or down and a bunch of other permutations. But we'll get as close as possible to their ideal regulations. All good - there’s a lot of info! Just on the CPL relegation, while yes it is in the competition regulations like that, it’s dependent on clubs meeting criteria, and also if they choose to accept promotion.
The last club to be promoted to the CPL from State League 1 (what CLO1 is now), is Canberra Juventus - promoted because Weston Molonglo (who did finish last the season in question from memory) elected not to enter the CPL and accept relegation, and the next highest club willing to be promoted was Juventus, who finished 3rd in the league (behind ANU , who had a CPL team already, and another Weston Molonglo lower grade team), because Capital Football wanted to make sure there was 8 clubs in both the NPL and CPL.
Or at least, that’s the story.
