NPL 2025

The official home of tumbleweed. A grand total of two articles published since September 2023!
I messaged them on Insta highlighting this fact. Unbelievable especially with the advent of Google News and the like that can discriminate information on mass. They have the social media down at, they just need to lock in on legacy media.

They used to have live google score updates when they had NPL tv, idk if it was a coincidence that they went at the same time. They can barley run a league so not surprised ever when there website is total garbage.

Who is running it? The FFA, the clubs, someone else.

I was devastated when they got rid of NPL TV. I was a paying subscriber. There seems to be no direction or vision, so we need to scrap state feds. They are a roadblock to the greater scheme of things.

I'm happy with everyone on YouTube but if one state or two decide to do their own thing it shows disunity and amateurish behaviour.

Football Victoria runs it (obviously)

NPL TV was decent, shame they couldn't build upon it they had good foundations.

Scrap the state leagues ... moronic, you need a change of who is actually in those key positions. Not husbands and wives of club owners.

The Crawford Report recommended abolishing the state federations and 22 years later they are still around like a bad smell.

I said feds not leagues.

Sorry, but my idea still stands, at minimum you need state federations it just makes everything run smoothly in the pyramid.
It's just added bureaucracy that slows down progress. The NPL has been around for 10 years and the NT still has no plan, not much has really changed from the old state league days and it took breakaway clubs to form the shell of a 2nd division. What is the KPI for the people on 100$k+. More of the same?

Next week, we have Preston v Heidelberg at the HOTM because of fictitious security concerns. What are these people doing to address the issues for the fans?

NPL has actually improved massively since 2014, not so much in the refereeing but skill level it most certainly has. The issues that most people have with the state feds is who is running it not the machine itself. As a league and system it works fine, its just a shame that ppl in vic (and places like qld) you have got ppl with no clue running the show.

Isn't that half the point? Rego fees are going to pockets of people who have zero idea. There needs to be a cull.

I agree kick them out but the system again isn't the issue.

I don't think removing the state feds would 'improve' the quality of Australian football in any way... You need a 'governing body' (in the loosest possible way lol) to help out with any level of comp in that state. Literally every country with more than 1 region or state does this. A small trimmed down governing body will make things worse.
