no way as much as before.
Way more liberal in the early days - who remembers the Grasshopper ?!
Game has changed so much and too much, look at when whatshisname decked Walsh - rippa of a hit/whack.
Wouldn't have been pulled up way back.
Wish Slater copped a few of those more.
Anyway, sounds like we are looking goood but we've all heard that many times and end up losing despite winning it last season.
 
Will have to watch on split screen today due to joeys playing half an hr after kickoff
 
QLD lacking a bit of line speed in defense. They also need to watch the ruck, NSW taking a step forward before playing the ball making it harder for markers to get set. Sort of thing that gets you in trouble in club footy but refs ignore in state of origin. Sin bin will help, but you need to dominate defensively before the points start to come

QLD and the crowd weren't their usual intensity even in the opening set. All up hill battle from here
