Yeah the "great Dane" got 7-8 mins at the end with a couple of touches.. to be fair his one touch out wide to seems well measured but too early to see what sort of player he is... at one stage he was warming up near us and did a few standing jumps I reackon he can touch the crossbar with his head 🤪🤪

Game was fairly entertaining, we had 3 really amazing chances in the 1st half but Oakleigh did get in behind later in the match in typical Oakleigh fashion, slick and fast.. Second half was all Hellas with a lovely Bonada goal.... Boys played well in general, defensively very solid. We are going to be very direct this year I predict, Mells looked comfortable infront of Cooper but I wanna see Archibald back early days... Friday night will tell us a bit more about the season ahead.
 
1st week of Feb and already silverware in the trophy cabinet..

If Mells plays to half his potential and abilities he will be a strong contender for that role i think!

The big questionmark this season remains with the unknown striker!
Dependent on our situation at the time, but would we try take a striker like Vergos if he was dropped by MV end of season or would the money be too much of an issue? Would be a bombshell draw card come NST i would imagine!

The fact Esteban didnt play him suggest either he isnt convinved yet or just not match fit.... Bonada and Andy looked really sharp up top in a sort of 442 although Andy will fade early in the second half as the season goes on (he is looking very trim this year... go Andy you sexy beast :P ) ... Lets see what pans out... We dont have room for another VISA player so have to hinge our bets on "the viking" I hope he is more Bjorn Ironside and less Ivar the Boneless .... lol

I think we have room for one other Asian / OFC player. It's the +1 if I'm not mistaken.
