Its the first game of the season... relax maaaatePort Melbourne might not win a game this season which makes that perfornance all the more alarming.
Hopefully the club is working in the background to get Sawyer back.
We all have a question mark over the striker situation no doubt but the situation requires patience, the team cant be expected to be flying from round 1 (as a general rule you prefer the opposite in fact or you will run out of legs - ÷especiallt given how long this season will be). We have changes and the team needs time to cement itself and for.players to aclimatize...Port Melbourne might not win a game this season which makes that perfornance all the more alarming.

Truly abysmal performance by the ref on Friday .... lost control 10 mins and never regained it...Glad to see that NPL referees are still unable to control the game.
Agree, they came out very physical, surprised nobody was hurt... Mells is indeed tidy on the ball just wish he had his shooting boots onA typical Markovski side!
On our end Mells is continuing to look good on the ball.
First round wobbles mate, no stress....Port Melbourne might not win a game this season which makes that perfornance all the more alarming.

Pitch was terrible, was between the benches near half way line and right in front of me was a hole you could lose an ankle in .... terrible pitch... Its always a scrappy game vs Port and on a pitch that if you have ever played on it you would know is never quite right for quality football!

Another 3 months of not playing and it will be time for the big return.. then we have 4 months to get him fit for the NST!!! LolWatched a bit of Sawyer yesterday as he started for Macarthur for the first time, he looks cooked, slow, sloppy touches, completely out of it. Then i remembered that hes hardly kicked a ball for almost 6 months.
In a match yes, but he’s a professional footballer, he would be training 5 days a week, maybe more.Watched a bit of Sawyer yesterday as he started for Macarthur for the first time, he looks cooked, slow, sloppy touches, completely out of it. No substitute for match fitness, training is not the same as real match play.In a match yes, but he’s a professional footballer, he would be training 5 days a week, maybe more.
