Anyone ever had the (dis) 'pleasure' of contributing to a comment thread on the a-league(s) reddit page? You would be surprised how many people are against a second division in general on there (maybe just a vocal minority). It's always funny to see this guy NovelStructure7348 he absolutely has it out for south, quite entertaining.

Hahahah no never posted there but have read most of the anti-South stuff... fark they are hilarious... they hate Mikey and Pete with an absolute passion, we laugh about it so hard at Lakeside. Ive got a feeling that Novel guys is a former 442/IS poster who disappeared a few years ago... heavily racist, anti-Hellas especially but a wog nonetheless.... easy to bait.
 
It's fun to watch the likes of Vince Rugari trying to look impartial in print, then openly slagging off NST on reddit. Millenials and below have this idea that you somehow quarantine personalities on social media. Like, "oh no, this is my professional account, if you want my utterly unprofessional persona, catch me on <somehwere else>."

HAHA please don't lump my gen in with millennials, I think it might also be a generation thing of reddit aged people (millennials) really hating NSL / NSD stuff, most of the people of my gen IF they have an opinion on it tend to be more positive . It's so crap we have the likes of Rugari and Simon Hill being a mouthpiece for Australian football.

Most are reasonable on reddit but i was also surprised at the anti nst sentiment a while ago and also some of the anti ethnic comments. Also surprisingly little knowledge or interest in ossaussues. You definitely get good info there tho

Novel definitely seems to be overdosing on roids. Regardless of the subject he is aggressive. Hope he gets a bit more chill with age haha

Good question re Hill though I expect he’d be on the fence the type of guy he is But Rugari is an apl stooge and he’s preaching to a captive audience over there.
Someone should invite him over here in a thread for him to interact with us.
 
Sorry correction wasn't saying Hill is anti NSD / NSL, just not a fan of the fella.

Can't wait to read ol Flogari's first piece once the NST is launched... especially if it is even mildly successful....

Hill is on record saying that none of the "effnik" clubs will ever attract anyone to their games outside of their nationality.... His "argument" if i recall correctly was "why would an Asian support South Melbourne Hellas" or words to that effect.... That sort of backwards, 1950s racism doesn't belong in Australia in 2025 ....

He may be forced to "support" the NST, at least in public, but, just like when he was canned from Fox, will have to wait for Paramount to give his the shaft before we hear his real opinion on the matter....

Guy doesnt seem too happy that someone explained junior fees were npl high due to senior wage (there is a thread from thursday on junior fees)
