Sam Kerr

you do the crime you do the time - no matter who you are.

You have a point but what crime? 'Hurt feelings'?

We're convicting and giving people a criminal conviction because of hurt feelings now?

Didn't George Brandis say 'It's your right to be a bigot'.

This is a weird situation.

Yes, convict her of drunk and disorderly, criminal damage and the rest of it but 'hurt feelings'?

Really?

Who here wants to possibly go to jail or carry around a criminal conviction because they were pissed up and said something a bit how you going?

As idiotic as those neo-nazis in Melbourne and recently Adelaide are they have a right to be a bunch of c#$@$ if they want to be providing they're not inciting violence.

well Muz, hey back in my day you'd either say F off back etc BUT not abuse a cop - only those who ventured for a beating on the side did I suppose.
Now todays a different world and lets face it pissed of not telling a cop your anything your done, abuse.
Next is every country deals and has varying laws compared to us.
Here I think it can be a on the spot fine, such as a general situation below :
Is it an offence to swear at a police officer in Australia?
While swearing at a police officer is not ideal, it doesn't automatically guarantee an arrest. However, if your language is deemed offensive in a public place, you could face an on-the-spot fine or, in more serious cases, be arrested and taken to the police station.
Then there's this :
In New South Wales, Australia, the charge for abusing a police officer while under the influence of alcohol is typically classified as "assaulting a police officer" under Section 60 of the Crimes Act 1900, with the maximum penalty being 5 years imprisonment; the fact that the assault occurred while intoxicated would be considered an aggravating factor in sentencing.

Now the UK or whereever deal with it THEIR way and most likely she is being targeted as a high profile person ?

Who really knows and I agree its a beat UP imo a trial over 5days again their system.

Point is though what an idiot behaving as such in the first place !!!! considering the status she knows she has.
Hence why what I said.
How come countless bigger Pro footballers than her do NOT get in this situation ?
They are far far smarter they know they will dragged through the press like mad, hence she does deserve copping it and the lesson to be learnt for obviously she does think her shit don't stink !
Been many things in the background about her behaviour and the Matildas let alone her fam background issues.
Suppose she finally is getting called out.

Hurt Feelings :ROFLMAO: what's the matter, cant be racist to white people now?

you lefties created the 'offended' and 'feelings matter' BS.

Imagine roles were reversed and a white guy offended a black person. They would of lost their job, sponsors etc, where here you have it, trying to make excuses for her actions.

Correct. Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequences.

100% agree. I am not making excuses for her actions.

BUT you should not get a criminal conviction against you because you hurt someone's feelings.

I understand this is difficult for leftys who rage about this sort of thing all the time but it's also interesting to see right-wingers putting the boot in now given their rabid support of people being free to say whatever they want.

As I said. Weird.

I hear you LFC but, again I'm no expert, I 'm pretty sure a judge ruled a while back swearing at a police officer wasn't offensive. (Which I think is wrong. There should be respect both ways.)

It would be interesting to see the last time a person got a criminal conviction for swearing at a cop in Australia. Shit, on instagram you see blokes giving to coppers full on in their faces and nothing happens.

Not saying that's OK. Just an observation.

Not diifult at all... She got drunk, racially offended someone, had her day in court, should ay the fine or do the time .... pretty simples....

Disagree about letting a bit of booze allow shit behaviuoyur. Yes OK swearing at someone is a but tame but so is nicking a packet of chips, or pissing against a wall... law is law, nobody is above it.. Coppers didnt even know who she was.

Again I'm not excusing her behaviour. Like I said book her for drunk and disorderly and criminal damage. No problem there but 'hurt feelings'?

That's where it goes off the rails a bit.

Definately respect applies here BUT she also due to her long time in the public spotlight should know better and I expect how many times have the FA heirachy incl Chelsea admin train and sit down with key players talking about public behaviour.
No point going on about what happens here - even though today I expect if she behaved as such coppers having body cams she'd be in the poop as well but how far ? who knows but it sure would be all over the press if the FA couldn't get it suppressed.
UK has alot more migrant issues than us I believe, as for hurt feelings the cop must have felt racially abused.
Maybe we call it differently.

Couldn't give two fucks if she's convicted or not.

Only thing of any importance is that her ugly and disgraceful behaviour has been exposed.

She's now not worth a cracker on the commercial market.

Hanging out for Foster's take on all this 😂

mind you Beretta driving to the office this morn listenning to am they were panning her, saying she should never captain again for starters.

and rightfully so, let me guess, 2GB with Ben Fordham and Lucy Zelic?
