The Medical Room - Injury Updates

Fotmob says his back mid March same time as mcgree
Fotmob isn't reliable for injury return dates.

It'd be good to have details on the injury. Surgery on a hammy is a big deal. I can't remember that being needed unless theres been an avulsion/tear where the hammy joins the tendon. The return from that can be quite long. I've known players in other sports to take 6 months for that.

It may not be that bad but it'd be good to have some more details to understand.

Yeah probably out for the season

Fucking great. Behich to play both games. If Elder, Iredale or Davidson aren't picked....

KBos...KBos...is he ready to step up???
Not even close. Kasey Bos is still developing and ironing out his game. He makes some big defensive mistakes and has been moved up to left wing, but doesn't have any end product (passing/crossing/scoring) in the role. Way too early for him. Elder should get a call up.

The way our defenders are getting injury, KBos may get an earlier than expected call up.

From a punter on a Pompey forum so grain of salt:

The injury to Matthews wasn’t anything to do with a foot.
It was a severe twist of the knee, so involved at least ligaments.
I ‘d be surprised if he played again this season.

The moon boot makes no sense if it were a knee mind you.

I saw on Fotmob that Strain played left back & got an assist on the weekend.

Sofascore shows him as playing on the right and from what I saw on the highlights, that's where he did play. Certainly his cross for the goal assist was from wide right.

Can we put together a starting 11 from the medical room? 😅😩

In Popovic's favoured 5-2-3

Gauci
Mathews - Souttar - Circati
Metcalfe* ------------------------------- Bos
Devlin - Robertson
Yengi* - Stamatelopoulos - McGree

* returning soon
