The Melbourne Victory Thread

I'm reluctant to post this because I'm not sure if there is any truth to it. This is a rumour so take it with a grain of salt. Apparently Tony Bloom attended the derby last weekend and is in discussions about acquiring 777 club shares. Interesting rumour if nothing else.
Yes the FVS guys mentioned this on this weeks episode

Still no international clearance for Langerak! Would love to know what the hold up is.

Interesting messaging. Clearly the club is picking up the fan frustration out there re finishing games. Hopefully these ‘conversations’ lead to a turn around.

Also wonder if this is trying to make Diles look proactive as they have to spin why they have potentially signed him to a two year deal and the bloke hasn’t won a game.

I don’t get why MV were so quick to sign this guy to a 2-year deal? Surely in a league with so few coaching opportunities, the MV gig would be desirable enough that they could have held off to see how he went as interim coach, whilst interviewing the many other interested candidates?

They still haven't confirmed it though the sources saying he has are strong. The short answer is money. We're strapped atm because of 777.

FFS who didn't track that Mauk run. Would love to see that again.

Rawlins giving it to Santos earlier for not tracking a run. Not sure why Santos is starting over Velupillay, must not be fully fit.

Not a fan of Bos anywhere near our final third. The commentary said he's quick, but to me it looks like he's in quicksand trying to get to top speed. Haven't seen much from him in defence.

Not a fan of Arzani thinking he's Messi. Just hit the first option mate and you'll surprise everyone.

Not a fan of Santos coughing it up nine times out of ten. Top goal though.

Not a fan of Reec... that's is all. Barely looks state league level.

Very Surprised that they signed Reec. He didn't impress at CCM, so I wondered what MVC saw in him.
Santos, is very average. That goal drags his quality to average.
Arzani, does a lot of good work but shooting for goal is woeful. He is crossing is OK. But you are right his ego is bigger than his ability.
And KBos is definitely a left back.

I agree the Reec has failed to impress. But wonder if part of the problem is that he is a big man striker who we are playing as a winger. Before we signed Vergos saw him as a sub for Bruno for the last part of games when he had run out of legs.

Yep he always performed best at CCM playing #9.

Speaking of Vergos, are his performances so far below AL average, AL average or just needs more time?
