Given that he is a visa player you would expect him to do better. Just had a look at the MVC forwards' stats and they are very even. Unfortunately, that is one of the reasons they are where they are. But both Santos and Vergos are playing below what I would expect from a visa player.
I expect visa players to be a notch higher than the local produce.

No foreigners this season are of a better standard than the locals. If they were superior to the A League they would usually be going to Japan or staying in Europe instead.

Disagree on that. AU has a few good foreigners, Auckland has Sakai, MC has Souprayen, MVC has Machach and so on.
 
Any word why Velupillay isn't starting. I assume he isn't fully fit yet. It's an odd one.

Arzani, does a lot of good work but shooting for goal is woeful. He is crossing is OK. But you are right his ego is bigger than his ability.
And KBos is definitely a left back.

I'm glad we brought in a young bench number 9. At the time we didn't have Vergos and it made sense. Though I think the choice of Reec was the wrong young number 9 even then.

The question about what is our best 11 is interesting and has gotten more uncertain under Diles.

Bos v Traore
Fornaroli v Vergos
Rodrigues v Piscopo
Arzani v Velupillay

I feel like we're wasting a really good squad this season.

I'd stick with Bos fwiw but he needs more experience.

Starting 11: KBos to be sub at around the 70 minute mark. Earlier if chasing the game.
Fornaroli: I think father time is tapping him on the shoulder. Vergos is not doing much either. Start Reec and see how he develops. Rotate the three.
Piscopo.
Starting 11: Arzani who does a lot of good work upfield and in defence but his engine conks out at the 70 minute mark. Velupillay has not been the same since his injury. Keep teh rotation as is.

The defense was horrible. Miranda and Hamill have been good partners but it's falling apart. I think it's the coach not the players.

I hope you had a good time anyway.

I remember stories of AFL supporters having their cars keyed for having Vic number plates when they travelled to Adelaide away games.
 
The Australian is reporting we're interested in Montgomery and Aloisi but for next season.

I reckon this season is cooked.
