I'm not celebrating his dismissal at all. Should have apologised if he wanted to and that could have been that.

BUT freedom of speech is not freedom of consequences.

He rolled the dice, probably speaking from the heart and probably from his experiences with his mates (loopy confirms as much) who no doubt think the same way, and got the arse. He should have known better. Has previous form.

This is the issue with those in the left wing echo chamber. Not saying you directly mate, they scream consequences of words said yet are so vile in their own behaviour of how they treat others with different views and nothing happens to them. I'm referring to the pigs at protests spewing shit that crosses the line.

This case though. Where's his maturity and professionalism? Simon Hill today said it best as did Joey Lunch. You've just got to choose the words well and also not share everything you think on this profession.
 
Annoyingly the timing of this overshadows the Young Socceroos achievements. Like they'd get much coverage anyway.

His words were so poorly chosen. I agree with comments how the Matildas have a certain immunity and there hasn't been a scathing harsh analysis of their recent performances. But should there be? Well, football journalism should commentate and I don't know whether the being kind notion is the way to go or not.

I've got to say though the knives were out so quickly by the usual suspects on socials screeching their outrage. They feel vindicated today.
 
The jury really is out on what is next for the Matildas. They should still have solid crowd numbers. The promotion is great and something of a treat when they play at home.

Surely the Matildas how their own departments? The Socceroos socials are alright but I find the Matildas get friendlies and other information out much quicker than their male counterparts.
 

All coming out now. What a shit society though where the victim is considered unemployable.

The viewpoints on what's right and wrong get blurred and the way people carry on in workplaces now about feeling harassed when it clearly isn't. There are some real narcissists out there who distort the situation and innocent people get harmed. If a claim for something is genuine, they'd better be right about it.
