Oh man. I wanted Irvine to shoot really as his pass wouldn't gone astray. Damn.
 
Was brave keeping by Gauci.If we keep up this press we can bustle these guys.As I write Irvine picks the Saudi's pocket but cannot finish-at this level need to convert those chances.

That's right. Geria or Strain at RWB and Yengi would be better. Better yet, revert to a back 4. Need more ball players. McGree and Hrustic with some moments but they've not got support either. Bos pretty anonymous so far.

we haven't looked that threatening off set pieces for some time now. That is something I'd love to see improve

Saudi likely to be conservative until 60. Try to own the next 10 then park the bus. We need to strike. Their plan is working only because we've let it.

Clearly our chances can come from transitions and that's where we've always looked best.
 
Our frees and corners are very poor. Amazing that we had the better chances at the end. Keep pressing. There are 5 replacements available if some one is runn off their feet.

we don't look like we currently have the speed to hurt them in transition though
 
The angle is deceiving but the pass was delayed that small bit that he's probably offside.

On a better day we could have two. Saudi making crucial errors and we're not punishing them.
 
At least everyone is pressing. Saudi keep giving the ball back. It's working. We're just not doing anything.
 
This formation is honest to god trash. It forces us to pick an awkward team.
 
Weathered the solid Saudi storm and finally started playing after half an hour.

We obviously have a lot to learn about playing out from the back but in this system there isn't many options forward of the ball. And FFS in transition literally every player is either beside or behind you....OR you have the mighty (NOT) Duke in front of you to pass to....give me strength.
 
The pass accuracy and possession is a telling tale of that half, strange to think we have actually had the better share of chances.

Looked like we finally started to settle in in the last 15 minutes.
 
Miller just doesn't do enough attacking wise and is even suspect defensively.

Feel like one of Irvine or O'Neill need to be replaced by a player who can play slightly higher up or have a stronger player alongside Duke which would free McGree go side to side in behind two strikers.
