The Ange at Tottenham Thread

The Europa League is the weakest its ever been with the new format. AZ are a poor side and the fact Spurs made such hard work of dealing with them shows what level they're at under this manager.

It makes some people VERY unhappy when a Greek Australian does well in anything ... its great to watch.
there you go again playing the race card... as I said before, real Greeks would spit you out as anglified

you might be able to mount an argument (a wrong one) if he was actually doing well

Massive win, that goal they conceded though LOL, how do they give up those same chances every single game? I've coached under 12s and if we were giving up goals like that every week I would just quit.

Frankfurt wont be easy in the quarters, they won it a few years ago and will be a big step up from AZ, Spurs need to build some form and make sure they win the first leg at home.

Got to say, Marco Silva shaping up to be a pretty good Ange replacement. I think he might be what Spurs need.

Has done over Ange several times over the two seasons & Fulham are making a serious push for Europe. Very tough team to beat.

Why would he go to a worse team? Fulham has better players imo.

No they don’t!

Tottenham’s best XI is pound for pound infinitely better than Fulham’s. Bloody Iwobi, Bassey, Willian et al. you’re havin’ a laugh.

Ange outers vastly over estimate the quality of the team. The defence are good however they lack depth, midfield is horrible bar maddison and Bergval, and the attack needs serious improvement to say the least. Son isn't at the level he use to be, and Kulu only fits the AM role in this system as he is too slow for wing play (which displaces maddison). Then on the right wing you have Brennan Johnson who only knows how to tap the ball in, and Odobert who is very promising however still somewhat raw. For strikers you only have Solanke, as Richarlison is always injured, and Tel is going back to Bayern as he is not good enough IMO

Who in Fulhams XI walks into Spurs best XI?

Jimenez is into the double digits for goals. Solanke isnt and he is pretty average regardless.

The barometer for Spurs is VDV. He makes the team about 20% better when he starts, Ange is petrified to start him in case he breaks down again.

He's an EPL version of Mitch Duke. Does a lot of running, is very physical, great hold up play and a decent poacher but limited otherwise.
