The Ange at Tottenham Thread

For a long time, I've said that it is not just bad luck that, two seasons in a row, most of Tottenham's first side has been out injured. If Ange has wanted his team to play a fast brand of pressing football that requires incredible fitness - particularly with the demands of the Premier League with added Europa League, and two Cups -- then it requires incredible expertise in their sports science to keep the squad fit.

Now, this week Romero took a dig at the Tottenham's physios. So it's more than just me saying that - Romero backs it up.

If you review the social media of Tottenham fans, very very few people, aside from me, were pointing to Tottenham's medical people as a cause of the multiple injuries.

Yer saw Romeros dig yesterday.
The Argie physios worked on him though after all being out of the game for a while don’t blame going back and forth but low dig nonetheless.

Aside from Pochetino (who still won nothing) every manager at Spurs has looked mediocre, and these are coaches with far higher pedigree than Ange, and they had Kane/Son in their primes.
I don't recall any of them finishing in the bottom 8

You shouldnt when you have a 20-30 goal a year striker.

Tottenham finished 7th in 20/21 with 40 goals between Son & Kane. Goes to show you just how difficult the league is even with two prime forwards.

They also got knocked out of the Europa League Round of 16 to Dynamo Zagreb.

All of this was mostly under the guidance of Mourinho.

lupi - every post is negative or a dig towards a poster or subject from observations.
Why bother fellas.

Huge game for them coming up in the europa as all know, exciting and heaps of pressure.
I wish them luck and Ange.

I think Anges tactics are questionable, but those players are pretty ordinary, how does a wc winning centre back like Romero literally from the edge of his own box pass the ball straight to a Bournemouth forward 3 times in the first 5 minutes?

its his squad... other clubs with smaller budgets than Spurs are doing better

blaming everything and everyone except the guy who is chiefly responsible is new levels of denial

He has recruited quality youngsters but not enough to make an immediate on results.

ummmmm have you been in a bunker for a few decades?

Poch, Conte even Mourinho have been complaining for years...

Research guy knows all... ffs...

if you're only ever listening to the happy clappers in Aussie media you'll never get a perspective on Ange

It's a little weird to call people on an Australian Football Forum, "Happy Clappers", because they want the best for the only Australian manager in Europe, let alone the best league in the world.

The fact you think posting clips from Talksport is some kind of lesson is even weirder.

I called the Aussie media happy clappers, not the football forum

yes

whores will tell you one thing when it suits them and the opposite when it suits them

Then you're obviously confused about the definition of a Happy Clapper, which is someone/something that blindly supports regardless of poor performances, bad management, or negative results.

Essentially overly optimistic & uncritical.

If the media changes its tune to suit their narrative, which I agree they do, then by definition, they aren't a Happy Clapper.

that's what they've doing since he went to England

it gets more clicks from Aussie readers to hype up Aussies abroad

I've not heard one critical assessment from an Aussie media pundit since he took reigns of Spurs

the main 6pm news quote the results and they do say he's in the hot seat, for the brief seconds score updates occur can't expect anymore detail.
Do you expect articles by scribes to do one on Ange/Spurs ? we hardly get any general news press from the local games let alone abroad, seriously what do you expect, to be proven right ffs.

Optus pundits sure say he's in quick sand but have some empathy nonetheless being he's the only coach we've ever had in a top league.
Give it a break your tiresome.

I expect critical assessment of his performance and tactics. It shows how football illiterate this country is that such discussions are verboten.
