What have I been bitching about for ages? 8 x clubs (although I believe APIA has yet to transfer any funds) actively losing money to play in a super league against clubs that wont have to pay 1 red hot cent... and yet somehow the NSL is to blame? hahahahahahaah

OK, how about "Since there are another 6 x clubs ready and willing to participate in a proper h/a season from day dot and their ONLY issue is not having the required funds to provide a 1/2 million certainty to FA, theat the FA lets all these clubs in from next year and they play a PROPER season as stated instead of wasting money on flying clubs around who may or may not ever be interested in competing anyway?"

Man, sorry I dont want to be disrespectful to Raciti, I dont know the bloke and at the end of the day he ahs to do whats best for his members .... but reports are that he "played" the room...
 
TBH I'm on the fence MSC, it hurts believe me but I won't point the finger without knowing facts that probably will never know.
Something is terribly wrong thats for sure for he was in like mad for years it has been his dream for the Club and game.
Least he's in a corner can't pull the pin me think ??? for that mud would stick forever and the Club :(

No idea mate.... APIA are a storied club and absolutely belong in this thing from the get go... at least as an outsider looking in... What the club's financial situation is is only known to the members....

Down here im hearing some interesting tidbits about previously "reluctant" clubs now wanting in on the ground floor.... could be an interesting couple of months.

Maybe (I'm putting my conspiracy theory hat on again) announcing this bullshit champions league plastic tournament was a cunning ploy by JJ to force clubs to sign on the dotted line????

Not really that dissimilar to how the NSL started all those decades ago.....
 
yer I hear ya, IMO also Rockdale should be onto it big time as well still waiting in the wings but I'd expect all would complain too many Sydney Clubs.

Yep next couple of months gonna be interesting thats for sure.

I can't work out if Knights are looking really smart right now or not. They clearly saw the writing on the wall and decided to sit back and let everyone else stress about the details. Would be a laugh if they end up winning the initial CL format.

They will enjoy it even more if they get into the comp without paying a single cent and beat South in the final...... Not gonna lie, this would be the stuff of nightmares but .... it will certainly be the single handed funniest thing to ever happen in Aussie football and Id quietly celebrate it just for the "fuck you" to the APL and FFA.... .... and then go back to crying about the result..... :(

They dont have the pedigree or icon status as the Sydney clubs already selected.
 
Whats happening with the foundation clubs who have paid the $500k bank Guarantee and the new clubs who will get accepted, whats their financial obligations?

$0.00 ex GST ... and FA will fund their trip interstate ... Not sure if they will be compensated for having to pay their players for an extra 3 months but wouldnt suprise me.

By "mainstream" I intend for it to be viewed within the realm of ease of access. If that is selling the packages off to SBS or Optus that would be the best thing for the product IMHO

I agree... SBS would be elite...... Not a fan of it being behind a paywall as much as I am a fan of Optus...

I can't see it appealing to the average sports fan though, football fans and eurosnobs perhaps but the average "sport" fan wouldn't find anything to connect with in my opinion.
