Is there any chance one federation could switch away from the fed voting bloc? It might only take one to start swinging some big changes.

Next question, who votes to install the fed leaders? I would hope it's the clubs.
curious myself

Member clubs vote the board of directors who in turn vote the President ... or that is what is supposed to happen...
Cheers. So really, the power is with the clubs. It's up to them to want to dissolve the federations and vote for directors who will get it done.

I suppose the clubs need to know what the better alternative is, which would need to be a developed plan coming from FA....

I won't hold my breath then 😅

I really like Cvetkovski's and the young boards approach to the whole revival of Preston these past years.... its paying off for their club, in spades.... Im not sure on the whole signing North Macedonian players and focusing on that aspect of their fanbase to the detriment of their other players and fans but if that's what they figure works for them then so be it.....
Preston really doubled down and it's apparently working. I think their community tops out at about 50,000 in Melbourne. If that's enough to sustain themselves, then their model works I suppose.

With the NSD being a more 'professional' set up compared to the NPL, what would the viewing product be like? I wonder who will be calling the games and what 'whacky!' characters will be brining out the match ball (thanks a-league).

Brown paper bags all round then..

There were enough clubs interested, but some didn’t make the cutoff based on the rules set on money, stadiums etc. I assume many more clubs would be interested in the NSD if money wasn’t an issue.
So, ponder this; the NRL and our government are looking to fork out $600,000,000 to fund a team in PNG.

That would fund the NSD for decades. Why no govt support for NSD?

I wonder if the suits have even approached the government for any kind of funding.

most interesting part - fq apparently warming up to the nst

I wonder if the academies can be a barganing chip here...

Hey guys! I was on this podcast (Neal) and yeah it definitely seems like FQ are somewhat warming up to what's going on at the moment - by the way love this forum, I do look at it quite a lot and the former FTBL forum did come in very handy when researching for the NPL Victoria commentary games!
