i dont hate football, nor do i care if she wants to be the man in her relationship, i just hate double standards.

Luckily i dont care, nor do i attend Women's football, cause i'd booo her every touch. Privileged C.

I agree with this and said as much earlier in the thread.

People who, like you said, hate the attention the matildas have gotten, hate women, hate talk of equality, hate soccer, hate gays have used this as a vehicle to put the boot fair into her and by extension all of the above.

And then there are blokes like me, and others here, that don't hate any of that but think the trial was ridiculous and she acted like a shit.

Showing her bank balance on her phone to the cop was the nadir of the whole thing. She has come out of this looking cod ordinary.

I doubt she'll captain again.

Apologies if this has already been covered in this thread, I don't really care all that much about so I haven't been reading it. However, my missus asked me about it (she has zero interest in football), she asked why was there a trial by jury for this? It seems like such a minor crime, why does it need a jury? Is this how the law is in the UK, or is this special circumstances because of who Kerr is? Again, sorry if this has already been answered.

My wife the same, doesn't follow sport much & has no idea why this has gone to court.
 
same would apply to over half the population like most things reported by the press.
This was a beat up but shouldn't have got to this but hey, the UK authorities saw it differently.
My wife also wouldn't give a toss but for us watching NT games - she abuse's me though calls me many things but I don't report her to the cops haha

My missus is a healthcare worker, and has a natural caring and compassionate personality. Her exact response when I filled her in on the details was to roll her eyes and say 'someone needs to tell those cops to harden up princess'. She said if she reported every mongrel that calls her a slur she'd be in court every other week. She also made the comment that nobody should really be surprised when a star athlete behaves like a brat, they've been like that for aeons.

yes mate agree and kudos to your wife being a healthcare worker, a challenging underpaid job.
Correct its all OTT but this is todays world - can't say this can't say that, even here I control myself for X takes it all the wrong way but I also don't wish to offend at the sametime.
I employ 16 people, they can say anything to me it seems but IF I do ? unfair dismissal here we go and thats stacked against the employer.
