To me, it's just football. Let the football football, if people want to support the game, go out to matches. To me, I find it hard that people aren't already going either that be a club in the NPL or A-league.
Hope, the increase of crowds in Australian Championships isn't just trend, ultimately most of the clubs, this includes A-league and NSL are just trends for 90% of people. It's only the minority like us that stick around and make the clubs, feel and have the community of an actual club.

If SO does go under then its absolutely NOT up to the other clubs or the federation to try and save them .. they are a stand alone club, answerable ONLY to their members and fans.... Think of them as a fish and chip shop in a high street shopping centre... if it fails, sure the other shops would like a new fish and chip shop to open in the same location (to keep the shopping strip vibrant and relevant) but they will absolutely NOT chip in to keep the failing one going.....
What I cant understand is that if NSL fossils and Eurosnobs are the reason for poor crowds then surely attacking them isnt going to make them want to attend the Aleague????

Is that some of AL clubs would go under solely because of this, that the Australian casual fan will move around clubs between the two leagues like hot cakes? This is kind of already occurs lol.
90% of the public, couldn’t give a fuck about AL or old NSL side for longer than 1-3 years, they bin going to the football and then will stick around for the cup finals, marquee fixtures etc.
Football is a phase for general public. No matter how much of a nice inner community there is.
Won’t be that much of a change. Bring on 2034 as the goal. If they see viability (long term success) within the two divisions and growth in the state leagues, it would be a no brainer for dedicated owners who invested capital to open up imo. If they get relegated and only see that their budget will drop by x amount, nothing worse than the merge to APL and Paramount deal imo.
Sydney FC only made profit 3 years out of 20, in which then it built an academy from 12 and up, 4 school set ups, SAP program, women’s academy, training base, wheelchair football etc the list goes on. If there is viability and the trend of sustainable growth, most AL owners would be stupid to not try open because let’s be real, the first 10-15 years of it opening anyway would be just top 32 clubs in the country with then strict guidelines of getting a pro license like in most countries that have this issue.
