LOL this is glorious.

Is this post from Preston or Northcote? I'm curious. You won't see a crowd like that until you play Preston again, so soak it up. It will be just you, the 5 forum boys discussing which life insurance offers the best discount for unemployed bums.

Your community is all but dead and this was the funeral. Getting out numbered and out played in front of a global audience.
The h2h record is so stacked in Souths favour they were bound to win one. Literally 1989 at that ground.

They wont outnumber us at lakeside but ladder positions will play a part.

Crowd was amazing but they're taking the piss with that figure. Unless the 2 clubs have come together and have decided to put mayo on these figures, in which case South will announce 12,000 in return match being the bigger venue.

Our community is not dead, they're just split amongst 30 teams in Melbourne. Preston competes with nobody. Most of the ppl in the South end tonight were from the northern suburbs.

So which one of the 30 are holding you back? Western Suburbs? Northcote?

Face it. Preston is bigger now.

Every suburb in Melbourne has a greek team. Hell i skip South games in preference to them and will continue to do so.

They're bigger now for sure, rejuvinated as well as many of them stopped going for 15 years and they've come back refreshed.

9k sounds about right. If you have a mostly standing crowd that is stacked you fit around 2.5 per meter. The perimeter would be about 400m. So to get to 9k you need the crowd to be 9 rows stacked like that. Visually it looks around 9 rows thick all around

I'm happy you are humble enough to see it.

100% I would assume there would even be some fellas kicking back in the clubrooms too.

I've been to that ground in its nsl heyday where the entire ground was full (no segregated areas) and the attendance was always around 5.5-6k.

Where an extra 3 thousand fit im not sure, our end wasnt as packed as last year. If you take it at face value they broke a venue record.

Lifeline champ look em up! They were established to help ppl like you!

Did a Grk club not let you play as a child or is it purely your cultural inferiority complexes?? Whats your trauma??

Is this some kind of projection? What Greek club? POAK? AEK?

South ain't Greek my guy. They stopped being Greek when they tried to change their name to the Lakers.

Good for you, still trying to show us your not letting that cultural inferiority complex be TOO much of a burden!

Dont worry though champ, this is a safe space! We support you here...always remember, baby steps, and you too can be a somewhat valued member of society some day (perhaps)... Well done!!! 👏

For the next derby at BT Connor they must decrease SM away allocation, poor showing from their support. Let Preston fill more of camera side & it eclipses 10k
The turnout was literally the same as last year, it was only more sparse behind the goals because they opened a bit of the side where the old scoreboard is and many ppl went there, myself included.

Its going to be good having the next one in a bigger stadium with lots of seating.

Culture?

Hilarious.

Does Preston travel in numbers to away games?

Their Sydney brothers Rockdale dont. They dont like paying tolls or ticket prices.
Yes, but depends where, they took bugger all to Dandenong a few weeks ago but had a lot against Heidelberg. A lot probably depends on location. They will pack it out against Avondale next week being top of table clash.
