A-league attendances 24/25

As for macarthur etc and their gate sales i suggest you take a closer look at the numbers and beyond that how many are paid tickets exactly??

You’d bloody expect something better 20yrs down the path incl the copious amount of dollars thrown in incl better media coverage compared to NSL - seriously what a silly comparison of apples and oranges.
Dumb is dumb the way I see it - all for a cordial debate but that retort was just plain dumb.

I say it has proved it's worth & it got people talking, there are those who are horrified by the injustice, there are those who agree that injustices did occur but we should move on & be all Australians & there are a small minority showing their racist, homophobic, gender fangs, especially towards the Matiltas who went against the grain & protested differently.

LFC, I ask the question why was the A-League more viable then the NSL?
I like you have followed the game for over 50 years & also like you an ethnic, but I have provided the reasons why I never followed an NSL club but jump on board an A-League club. So I'm not a newbie nor did I I not suffer from racism in the 70s/80s.

I’m not saying there hasn’t been racism and I think South Melbourne should not have been excluded from the A-League and should be in the league. And I think that South Melbourne supporters although they claim to despise it, would secretly love to be in the A-League. They have the stadium, the supporters and would be a great addition. But do they have the financials/cash to be in the league? I’m gonna say no they don’t unfortunately.

Was the NSL an open league, did it have Pro/Reg? Was this not a closed league.
Well this is an A-League thread on attendances, but lots of NPL fans commenting.
I never followed an NSL club, but I never said certain clubs shouldn't be allowed in the A-League. I was all for Sth Melb to be included.
Who is criticising franchise and no history leagues?
You might try looking who is pointing fingers

I think this has been covered very comprehensively.
Many APL/FFA stuff ups, including, lack of marketing, no support of active fans, GF decisions.
Many people who follow the A-league are very very critical of the A-League management and very aware of the demise of the A-League.
I know our group of 30 has diminished and many not returning.

I have many ideas, but what good is it, too many agendas in this country.
This has been happening for at least since 1974, when my dad woke this little boy up to watch Socceroos play in the WC, I was in love with this game, but we keep kicking ourselves with our many agendas.
Fortunately for this game we can run on an oily rag in this country

I don't have the time to write a whole essay haha.....

Firstly, throw away these poltical correctness and unity gimmick rounds which attract nobody and have league run by independent board without individual clubs involvement.

Then the management needs to be open with everything they do, have a long-term plan, take in feedback from fans, and have more traditional clubs involved which football people can get behind what they represent.

Stop playing in stadiums that hold 52,000 when you're only getting 6,000.

That would be a start..

So what you really mean is go back to crappy little suburban grounds and reinstate all the ethnic clubs who never made the cut ? Also having 4000 crowds in 6000 lack of seats stadia.

I call it trendy yes, bc thats what it is proved to be... what else would you call something that isnt universal but picks and chooses what falls into a category and what doesnt, depsite identical truths? .the examples are numeorus of this! Hypocricy at its best!

That argument i can appreciate, i dont agree with it bc we have proven atleast twice in our bids that we had the finacials and support to succeed but alas, as has been proven, it has not been a level playing field ... the criteria meet cant exactly be that reliavle anyway with so many franchise failures and pensing ones!! Isnt it only logical and wouldnt you agree that unlike a startup venture we had more of a chance to succeed?

Most of your arguments defs highlight the oppoosite mate!! You argue against all things nsl while accepting the same and worse from the aleague..trying to veil it with flawed arguments and deflecting, doesnt do it justice but each to their own!

Was the aleague not supposed to address all those issues for the betterment of the game?? . and what have we gotten i ask again?? The same and worse most logocal people would say! Thats what i criticize like it or not... as for lack of history thats been proven its up to u to u now to prove otherwise, cant even convince us that they arent franchises mate...haha

But lets not burst your bubble too much, you found your footballing home finally (apparently) despite the 50+ years of searching..to my doubts may i add.

The return of Odysseus home was a shorter journey i will add.

ill continue to point the finger as long as you continue to fail to back up your arguments!
