A-league attendances 24/25

Adelaide flying crowds wise. The city actually loves the Reds. Amazing what a proper stadium close to the city can do for you.

They are the absolute blueprint for other Australian clubs coming into the league.

For their games at Mcdonald Jones, Newcastle are also trending in the right direction, which is positive.
Adelaidians get behind their clubs like no other city...

Big blue will be 10-12k judging by ticket tek
It is hard to comprehend how far their attendances have fallen. The bigger city clubs are really struggling. If Optus sells its sports-arm and EPL goes to Nine / Stan, then surely the A-League has no choice but to follow (no matter what the short term dollars look like). The competition needs the connection to a large mainstream TV channel and newspapers (through its ownership of Fairfax). That is the only way I can see the A-League getting some media coverage in those larger markets. Add to that, it will have the benefit of cross-promotion with the EPL and Champions League.

The thing about WU is they now have really good crowds. They fill their little venue every week. So allthough their numbers might be small, they are at a suitable sized venue which is totally fine.

WU would probably outlive Victory and City. Having assets and a home that doesn't bleed ever increasing stadium rents and keeping the takings will be a huge positive.

It's what people fail to grasp. They get 4-5k at a 5k stadium and the facilities aren't even there yet. Population growth out in Tarneit is inevitable and those crowds and the demands will only grow.

As for the Vuck, they are fine at AAMI. It would have helped if hundreds of people were barred on Friday night.

City need to develop Dandenong. They can start small and expand but Abu Dhabi don't give a shit about Melbourne it seems.

Having seen the game on Campbelltown on TV, I struggle to believe that crowd figure unless 2/3 of the crowd was somehow off camera.
Most crowds usually are on the broadcast side behind the camera so that neither are in the sun most days. I don't know why the camera can't be shielded on the sunny side though.
