Isn't that under the lil'ol2%SBS banner?

I would suggest that these days lil'ol2%SBS wouldn't be able to raise interest at board level into committing funding for a low rating domestic football competition. Nor ABC for that matter.

I doubt any of the big 2 commercial channels will want to broadcast the A League franchise competition. The 10 network/P+ might well renew but you'd have to think it would be at a drastically lower rate than the current deal....

I doubt there will be another TV deal, not for the A League anyway. People are saying the 2nd division will get a better TV deal then the ALM. But who knows. Ratings wise they have been crud most of the time -def not main channel stuff but there is a market for it. Id like to know what Rugby Australia get next TV deal.

Rugby Australia though, I believe are able to package up Super Rugby with Wallabies games - so makes it a bit more viable for them. This is the downfall to APL being separate from FA. Could very well see Socceroos/Matildas stay in one place, with APL going elsewhere.

Interesting point. Personally I'd be more interested in the so called 2nd division myself. Especially if you're watching real football clubs rather than enforced franchises....

I used to watch two great shows on there.

* A show called Restoring Dreams, Aussie show about fixing up old cars. The show ended because the guy died of cancer.
* A show called Vasili's Garden, he's basically go to Italian and Greek people houses and ask them about their garden and home made salami and wine. It was great.

Yeah Vasili was good value. I think he moved to 7 or 9. Those classic car shows were good too.
