ALM/W TV deal

Maybe its a sign they will dump the A-League? next year.
No. I think that they will continue broadcasting the A-League on P+ and Ch10 and will extend their contract when the new arrangements eventually have to be negotiated.

There might well be a drop in numbers in terms of the value of the tv rights but I think that P+/Ch10 have hung their hat on being Australia's domestic football broadcaster along with the Socceroos and Matildas and will continue per se.

Of course not everyone will like or agree with what I'm saying here but I think that they will be prepared to overlook the general sporting public's perception of the A-League in order to be Australia's foremost broadcaster of the Australian game.

Football Australia and P+/Ch10's agreement to their multi-year, multi-platform media rights deal for Australian National Teams through to 2028 was they key here...

Finding another broadcast partner who is willing to stump up substantial money for the A-Leagues would be great. But unlikely without the Socceroos and probably more importantly the Matildas element with it.

Although i would agree in principle with what you are saying and i think given the past histories of the other channels 10 has gotten the programming RE football here better...

It has to be said though imagine the stronger bargaining position if there was an FA backed AU championship.and AU cup component tied for more saturation and year round foorball included in any potential deal moving forward? This would benefit the foorball ecosystem all round.. Money to a new comp and as stated above football for more months than we have ever seen.

Go some way to pushing for alignment and bridging the divide across football in this country and would certianly not hurt the channel(s) either.
