LFC
Football Australia is pleased to announc
www.footballaustralia.com.au
That's old news but excellent news.... and lets hope its an outrageous success...
yes its old recent news that not sure CS recalled it - nothing more and fingers crossed the larger game below gets the start it richly deserves and for the long term future we agree mate.
Equally I want A-L broadcasting to be an outrageous success....
Wish you luck seriously.
You posted above re I presume you mean Waz, and commented its good to see you posting here instead of reddit... as I posted never even read any article on reddit on anything, never mind posting there..... however you do raise an interesting why do some obviously Football folk post less on here than what they use to post and some have gone...
yes my bad, either ither for me, correct roar, both variants have alot of questionable outlooks, yes like here human nature Middy, they see it their way here other posters opposite, its ok were all family.
For me and remember I support all levels of Football in Australia and been involved in Football for over 65 years....
What I find on this site is a lot of negativity towards the A-L.... mostly around the Football pyramid and the franchise model the A-L uses...
you call it negativity, I see it as robust/discussion amongst all of us invested in the game.
Unfortunately it does go in circles were silly I agree.
Personally I want P & R, I want 32 + professional teams, I want successful national teams, etc etc etc.... however I have been around Football since I was 5, followed a NSW Association side Auburn, then Blacktown Demons when I lived there, when back from overseas I followed The Northern Spirit, and today the Central Coast Mariners.... played until I was 63 when a health condition stopped me playing... coached sides, sat on local Football committees...
I am not claiming anything special, about me...
here here re all the above give or take few years younger - shame the health forced you to put your boots up, its hard letting go, I've gave in after last season more so due to my luving suffering football widow as she calls it.
Maybe lace up again next season fingers crossed.
My experience over all my Football life is no one has ever been happy, from the 1955 take over forward... the never ending negativity towards Football for 70 + years by Football folk...
Unfortunately its damn complicated due to so so many factors hence why were still in this mess agree its frustrating.
People get sick to death of both the argument and often attacks on those with different views...
Because nothing much gets sorted out but band aid options - if I ran my business like football - have one go this way one go that way you always are chasing your tail for one ends up carrying the other.
Further and it should never be forgotten, the A-L has been around now for 20 years, and for most fans under 40 this is their competition.... so if the A-L falls over then the circle will continue with these fans wanting a return to now.
catch22/double edged sword I agree, come a time someone or somebody/FA has to put the foot down my friend and damn well LEAD, one is not working and wnated to go alone, then you have amatuer/semi pro one, 2 paths/entities DO NOT fit nor work together but they need each other though one won't budge, people need to accept this instead of hanging on by thread.
APL/invested wealthy owners will NOT work with State Feds/Association levels unless on their terms, their right looking at this way for I would as well IF I owned a shop for damned if I would succumb dealing in semi pro let alone a Championship where I could suffer more loss's.
I have no idea how to solve the P & R issue, but I know attacking the A-L is not the answer, we need a strong and successful professional league to drag in revenue and eyes.
The AL is attacking itself more than us keyboard posters, lucky these investors can afford/absorb this pretty shaky business of 20yrs, do you ever consider that saying we know of old, got sold a pup ?
TBH I haven't noticed P/R brought up much of late, you/me/most just want the game to be as one and all in like we know it is world over more than not.
How is the APL owners going to back down come to a treaty Middy really, put yoursleves in their finacial owners boots.
I hear you were going round in circles - if it drives people away I think the same applies at the other 2 forums re football, hence I keep saying you can't have 2 systems for you will always have division but at least we all hang in there like a very low block defensive unit
