Interesting tidbit about Mundials (and many other real leather Adidas boots), is that they exclusively use kangaroo leather. Funny thing is they abbreviate it to k-leather because people overseas don't like the idea of slaughtering kangaroos. The thing about kangaroo leather is it's about as durable as it gets. A pair of those is going to last a very long time and take an absolute tonne of abuse. The sole is going to give out before the upper will.

My understanding is for the past 20 or so years all brands have been kangaroo.

Stats and first team appearance would add credence to my claim but that's OK mate, I don't care if you believe me or think I'm up myself.

What's your claim to fame?
I'm not having a dick measuring contest on the internet. Woeful stuff....

These adidas boots are essentially my ref boots.

Rotated between these 3 while playing though: (silver version of the Pumas though) - and the third won't let me copy in for some reason

I beg your pardon!?

I hope you're not reffing in those. Some juniors that start up each year have white boots and they're told pretty quick to get black.

Does your association not make you wear black?

White boots make you look like a boundary umpire from the AFL.

Edit. Wait. Did you mean to say 'those not 'these.

Definitely in the 00's and 10's but there has been a move away from leather in general (especially kangaroo as it's pricier) and a move towards synthetics. Result is less durability and an inferior product in general. Good for the profit margins though. You gotta check the fine print these days. They are still allowed to use the word leather even when it's a product made from apple skins.

Nothing like a nice leather smith to make a pie as my granny used to say.

Yeah, sorry that's what I meant haha.

Black adidas for reffing, the others were my playing days boots. I think I still have the black/white/pink/handbag Nike's around somewhere

I'll go.

How was a penalty not given to the WU bloke yesterday?

Does ANYONE have an explanation? The ref was diagonally opposite on the corner of the 18 or thereabouts so he would have been looking through the players for contact but what was VAR doing?

Did he pop out for a durry?

there was no contact... the attacker who was already off balance stepped on the ball and fell over

by all means listen to Andy Harper though

Watch this and tell me there was no contact.

He clearly takes his right foot out. It literally goes to the left after the defender kicks him.

Not sure if your just being a contrarian for shits and giggles or are blind.

sorry, there's nothing clear about it at all... he takes a shot and steps on the ball

there's not a single frame which shows contact was made

is this player a left footer? he appears uncoordinated with his right

He steps on the ball right before he has the shit kicked out of him.

No need for an angle behind the goal.

misleading and these images aren't evidence of any contact

Can't tell if you're deliberately trolling or thick.

Do the honorable thing and just admit you were wrong.
