I think you could play Luongo-Balard in Poppas current favoured formation if you wanted but Luongo-Robertson is my preference. Chances are at least one won't be available.

With O'Neill not playing bad but also not gelling either I want to see some rotation to see if we can hit a winning combo.

Oh it's unlikely but it should be on the table. Irvine would make a great sub bringing that energy against a tiring opponent.

Players performances tend to be more limited for national teams than club teames. In our case u are jetlagged, but on top of that u have less time together

I thought that too. But looking at the martinez's career he spent ages as a number 2? Im burnt by langeraks wasted potential at dortmund, but maybe its ok for keepers to bide their time?

In a way biding time is alright but Gauci is Australian number 1 now. He should be in demand. Langerak should have left Dortmund earlier and got played by Klopp and Weidenfeller. Langerak was in the golden age of keepers as the Bundesliga 1/2 keeper standards these days is immensely lower to the 2008-16 era. Gauci can't afford to make the same mistake. Nothing wrong with moving.

Credit to Miller for the offensive surprises last window but Strain is a lot better in attack and less of a head case in defence. How I wish to have Baccus as a RB reserve meaning train and Geria fill the area. Drop Deng and add a midfielder so we can fit Balard, Nisbet, Robertson and Luongo.

If ryan is az alkmaar quality and gauci is better, he is surely capable of a loan to a similar quality club
