Aalborg scored a pen and missed and earlier one and I wonder if Iredale won either.
All 3 offer something different. Yengi is a target man who can play on the ball too. Toure seems like the best in a technical sense and can finish well. Iredale is fast and can play wide and finishes really well inside the box and is something of a poacher.Neither pen was him
Glad iredale broke through. Seems a determined down to earth fella. Great to see him succeed. Is yengi our 3rd best in europe all of a sudden?
Iredale also seems to do well at make runs to create space for others. All 3 offer something different. Yengi is a target man who can play on the ball too. I agree, they have serve us well especially Belich, but Dukes too, but time for a change. All 3 should be in next squad, meanwhile this should be the end of dukes selection. We finally have options let's start using them. Same at left back we have elder bos and even gersbach getting game time now. Forget behich.
I think you're right about Iredale earning a call-up. Getting Toure to start and Yengi as a bench option, the role he was so successful at last year for Portsmouth feels dangerous. Different players for different tactical situations. I also think Stama deserves to be in the discussion.
Good for Iredale to get the goal. 2 in 2 and 3 in a cup. Just before half time his teammate had to simply square it to him. Frustrating.
good thing we have 4 players in europe. All of a sudden it is a stronger position than right backI think you're right about Iredale earning a call-up. I'm not a fan of our formation. I think a back four + extra mid makes better use of our playing qualities. Strain in a back four or back five also works, if he is fit for it.Tricky situation is our formation. Just move Geria to right back and go to a back 4. We should never build a team around Miller at RWB. The extra defender doesn't allow for decent use of our midfield. Geria as RB or RWB and have Baccus as emergency and then Irankunda on a leaning winger role if we have a back 5.
