Maya Joint is huge potential. There are a few up and comers on the women's side who are looking the goods in terms of Grand Slam potential. Taylah Preston has a huge year ahead of her too.
 
MCG I’m struggling tbh.
Never expected much from Kyrgios but deflating nonetheless.
Kudos for Kokka great win - hope he carries on couple more days.
Watching Aiava nearing win just now great stuff for us aussies to see locals starting off well.

Kyrgios was never going to do anything. How he got into the tourney is a little suspect. He hadn't played any ATP or Challenger events leading up to the event. A bit of a wasted spot tbh.

Eh, there's a little formula to work that out based off his average ranking before the injury layoff.

never expected him to go well agreed, lacked everything not playing tournaments for 2yrs.
My deflating mention was purely on the base's from a aussie perspective we are way way down the ranks for so long now I struggle to follow the game tbh.
IF it wasn't for the wife booking this package deal cruise to Melb incl AO 2days package I wouldn't even bother with the tennis till watching the finals on tv.
Pretty sad - like our football we are miles behind.

Spouse I'll enjoy the 2days taking in the atmosphere at a big event for the first time.
 
Because there’s nothing like the outliers in tennis or any sport - I luv the reactions people make of these types.
Without them it’s fuckin boring and that’s what tennis has become to a degree :)

Does anyone have a whinge seeing the Greek flag despite cheering on a Aussie Greek ?! Unlike our game - the double standards stink as far as I’m concerned.

I just read good ol ex AO winner Courier didn’t come due the LA fires supporting g fam friends in need good on him therefore one of the legends doing post match interviews is McEnroe.
What a classic like he’s on the juice lol
He sure knows the game backwards - now that never was never boring to watch and what hands he had.
