Australian Dual Nationals 🇦🇺🏳️

There's also another rule.
I was born overseas but arrived in Australia when I was a year old.I got naturalised when I turned 18.
I moved to Germany after spending over 40 years in Australia.
My son was born in Germany and has dual Australian nationality but can't play for Australia as I wasn't born in Australia.
I was informed by the Fifa legal department that since he is already an Australian passport holder he would need to play an official international junior game first.
Then he could switch allegiance and the Parent/Grandparent born in Australia rule would not be applicable.
Weird interpretation by FIFA from the way I'm reading it then (although, that's more a statement about my interpretations than anything else), but it's almost as if the start, and the end makes sense, but the way they come to that conclusion doesn't make sense.

But yes, looks like Article 9 Paragraph 2 describes Noah's situation.

Pretty sure Musa Toure isn’t eligible for Guinea as he was born in Australia whereas Musa and Al Hassan were born in Guinea to Liberian parents.

vescan kodor is an aus citizen but won't be eligible for australia unless he comes and lives here for 4 years.

there are tens if not hundreds of other young australian footballers who are dual citizens/have eligibility for another country

I remember reading that on IS but then there are conflicting news articles. I suspect you're right though.

Do you have some names to add to the list?

for a country of only 3.9mill they do punch above their weight.

With millions of Croats that live outside of Croatia the HNS have targeted North America & Australia to find young talent outside of Europe.
At least they don't have to rely on ancestry.com, and a frantic phone call from FA begging them to consider us, the Cro boys and girls put their hands up for this willingly.

Have added Daniel Hall (Auckland FC) / Australia, Fiji / CB

some more dual nats

jonny yull - england
joe lacey - england/wales
wataru kamijo - japan/korea
max anastasio - italy
jake girdwood-reich - scotland
dylan leonard - scotland
Thanks mate, have updated.
