No, not all christianity is antagonistic, but enough of them are to be the cause of centuries of piss poor behaviour towards them.

If it wasn't for religion there's a damn good chance they'd be left alone like in some other cultures.

And anyway you hold deep seated grudges that go back decades yourself, are you surprised others do as well?

As for your advice to your kids maybe the church can take that advice too.

I guess the difference is that here Christianity is more known, had a bigger negative impact for many people - so probably going to be a bigger butt (not pun intended here) of jokes.

The other thing is the prophet etc doesn't actually have a visual representation like Jesus does. If you had to pick Jesus out of a line up you could do it tomorrow - but allah? No chance.

Roman Law, Canon Law, Ecclesiastical Law & Jewish Law are the foundations of our Western legal & political systems. Secular society has evolved from that and quite well too. Such things are interlinked whether people like it or not.

If that is supposed to be edgy comedy they're sadly mistaken and drifts towards just being a fuckwit.

Only 40 years ago people were actively going out 'poofta bashing' in Sydney all under the noses of the police that didn't give 2 fucks about them because of preconceived ideas of their 'abominable' lifestyle choices.

100 years ago women couldn't vote... they dont celebrate their equal rights by dressing up as polling booths on election day... this is just shit people failing at trying to be human beings ... concentrate on what is positive about their community and helping marginalised and troubled gay folk ... they dont have to prove how edgy they are by mocking 50% of the population ...
