Hahah, democratic societies. Israel is far from democratic. Netanyahu only won 23% of the vote. They had 4 elections in 2 years. If that does not scream unhinged, I don't know what does.

In saying that, if I had a choice between standing on the side of the oppressed or the oppressor, I'm always choosing the oppressed. Label whoever you want as terrorist, but I will never stand for genocide.

Netanyahu is just the PM - the head of a coalition government and it's the Knesset (parliament) holding legislative power.

And the Knessett could dissolve the government tomorrow if it wanted to. In fact the Ultra Orthodox opposition parties tried to dissolve the government a few weeks ago but didn't have the numbers....

There are numerous governments around the world with smaller vote shares governing in coalitions.

As I previously said I'm not particularly supportive of the ideologically driven Netanyahu I think he's a threat to Israel's survival as a Jewish state. By harnessing the power of vengeance he's been toxic in terms of Israel’s reputation around the world. But the democratic process in which that country sits allows him to continue as its leader.

Israel, Lebanon, and Iraq are the only states within the Middle East that are parliamentary republics.

As you would know Lebanon is a parliamentary republic with a multi-confessional political system. And this system allocates political power based on religious affiliation, with key positions traditionally held by specific religious communities. Not democratic.

Iraq have elections and the ultra conservative Sadrist Movement currently governs in coalition with several other ultra conservative parties.

Israel is far from perfect but it's way more democratic than anything else in the Middle East.

What would you do if you were in the same position as Netanyahu?

If a proscribed terrorist organisation ruling a neighbouring state attacked you in the same way as Hamas did on October 7th?

And as far as bloodthirsty savages go I reckon Zimbo's mates Hamas are up there with Benny and his crew...

The war did not start on October 7. Israel displaced Palestinians in the first Nakba. Ever since then, they have been displacing Palestinians, and carrying out a systemic genocide. Stop rewriting history.

Also, no need to be an asshole and label me as "mates with Hamas".

What would I do if I was a murderous corrupt bloodthirsty lying piece of shit?

Hard to say if I’d kill journalists, innocent aid workers, babies and my own hostages (list goes on) in the most barbaric of ways while trying to justify it with lies.

I don’t know what I’d have done if I was pol pot etc either

We know all this about Netanyahu but what would you do. How would you deal with Hamas? I mean you cannot surely deny what happened on October 7th was anything other than barbaric too....

They can live on the land. No one is saying they can't. There have been at least 3 UN resolutions that proposed 2 state solutions, all of which were rejected by Israel. Before Israel, people of all religions and races lived on the land freely. Zionism is the problem, not Judaism.

No I think that it's a very important issue. For example same-sex marriages, are recognised with full marital rights under Israeli law.

Would this continue under a Hamas docterine of Sharia law after the Zionists are removed?

No, it's trivial. We can't have discussions about hypothetical whilst a genocide continues. End the genocide and systemic oppression of a people that has been in effect for more than 70 years. Until then, it's not a discussion.
