Australian transfers 24-25 winter

Tete Yengi to J-League
Nisbet to continental Europe preferably or, if not, MLS
Tete almost certainly will be back in the SPL next season but I would favour a move to almost anywhere if he was to featurein his best position as the main centre forward.

A victim of his left wing versatility a little at the moment at Livi I feel.

Nathan Grimaldi has surprisingly left the Jets to join St George in the NPL while Zac Bowling has also left the Jets on loan to Blacktown City.

Big day really with Genreau and Peupion finally moving on. Not to mention Gauci got the move too.
All 3 pretty underwhelming moves - Genreau just started in French top division for fuck sake!! Ryan bolted on number 1 now, with Gauci playing League 1. Peupion surely wasn't too far away from the Brighton bench & he moves to Dutch 2nd division?!!! At least he's playing against men now permanently I guess - if it doesn't work out, I'm sure SFC would welcome him back

Peupion is 22 and his only first team football when he couldn’t get a game in League One. He needed to go somewhere where he’d get minutes.

Even Genreau rarely played for Toulouse, good that he’s finally gone to a level where he’ll play regularly.

Great moves imo although I personally would’ve preferred to see Peupion play A-League

I think these are good moves for both Genreau and for Peupion, I think it will suit there more technical style playing in Spain and the Netherlands respectively.

There is plenty of value playing in these 2nd tier leagues which might suit their style over leagues where it might have a higher coefficient but it doesn't necessary mean they can do well especially if its more physical or direct.

Nothing wrong sticking around in Europe if the players are mentally tough enough to stick though the grind playing in a lower tier league, if it doesn't work out then coming back to the a-league is fine.

Updated list of the interesting moves this transfer window.

I'm most disappointed about Genreau. Perhaps we shouldn't worry too much about the level but even the second half of La Liga is dire.

Peupion was such a pawn at Brighton. I'm glad it's over.

Gauci is another good case of going to a big club who bear no risk. Watch the pay 20m for another keeper within 2 years. Gauci should have built up at a smaller club first. A wasted 18 months.

yeah genreau would have at least wanted a promotion chasing club

peupion is fine, gauci which he was a level higher but in any case have to start somewhere

Oof that's unfair.

La Liga teams have regularly performed well in Europe and against EPL opposition. There is a strong case for it being a stronger league than England.

I'm referring to the lower end. Unwatchable, slow, time wasting football. Big club Valencia even down there now.

Deportivo were previously a very strong team in top tier. I wonder if they have realistic ambitions of getting back up there. May still be a good move long term.
