Sometimes your own home system just isn't going to give you the chance.
Celtic didn't like what they saw he goes elsewhere and prospers, similar in a small degree re Volpato and another from here that escapes me.
The rest is history.
I think it shows the lack of vision by TD's but at the sametime no one is perfect at any given job in developing or recruiting.

After having a look at Wrexham over 3 games in Aus and NZ, I might have to reappraise my former evaluation of the Championship and League 1.

Not viewing the Championship and League 1 for a long time, since Fox covered these leagues, if Wrexham are the typical football team in terms of style, in the upper table of League 1 and the Champ overall, Aussies appear to be making good choices playing for teams in these leagues.

Whenever I watched them the hoofball and second ball football played, was anathema to most of the style played in international football.

Wrexham's tactics and style of play were so far in advance of most teams in these leagues 8 odd years ago, or whenever Jedi played for Crystal Place in the Champ.
