English Premier League šŸ¦

The changes have been happening for sometime zimbos.
The recent investor Ratcliff and now coach are huge changes.
The clean up of internal costs.
Ole was just the past that many from your supporters keep living in the past but your clubs prob is imo has lost its soul and dna.
Bruno is just an angry frustrated selfish player cringing for success because heā€™s at United and plays like itā€™s all about him.
Heā€™s the persona arrogance United and supporters have shown since the heydays.
Changes are happening, but they are not all positive. Ratcliffe has been pissing fans off with his changes to ticket prices, cutting of certain bonuses, and the number of people being let go from jobs. Not to mention the removal of the MUFC charity payment last christmas.

Ole was one of the worst appointments we could have made. He was so loved as a player that fans lost objectivity when it came to being critical of his management. They still blame De Gea, Ronaldo, and Sancho for his downfall. They keep saying things like "he was messed around and the club screwed him over". Even when presented with facts that Ole himself said he agreed to and wanted certain things, they go, "yeah, but you gotta read between the lines, Ole never said those things". It horrible.

Bruno is the opposite of what a United captain should be. He whinges way too much and never puts the team first. Maguire was a better captain. We've lose the identity of what it means to be a United team and Bruno is leading the charge in that. He'd be out the door if I was in charge.

Yer I know I was being a smartarse.
what you said is right but even before itā€™s been the over priced wrong players bought and general recruitment the last 10yrs has been sub standard the main what ends up on the park.
I donā€™t blame Ratcliff making cuts the beast has become too fat and as an owner Iā€™d be doing the same.
So recruiting is the main thing to finally get in order first and foremost imo.
Ole was another wrong choice as well re coachā€™s.
Itā€™s like I expect what would happen to SG when talk was of him stepping in at LFC.
I donā€™t think legend players fit the bill as much as the romance gets you all excited.
Snr players have been an issue thinking they are bigger than the club and Bruno now fits that bill.
I wouldnā€™t want him in my team the way he behaves period captain and not.
Such a DH.
You can imagine ol Keane would king hit him haha and thatā€™s what he needs to be pegged down a number of levels.
Anyway Iā€™m enjoying the show after all our years of bant towards us - nothing stays the same.

both Michael Oliver & Darren England will be in charge of Premier League matches this week despite shocking howler for the straight red card of Arsenal player Myles Lewis-Skelly along with Michael Oliver taking charge of the rescheduled Merseyside Derby.

Disappointing to only get a draw against West Ham. Needed a win to keep in touch with European placings.

Yep
Had high hopes you guys make a strong bid staying in the 4 this season.

21 friggin yrs and he takes the $80M.......
Thats todays mind set though mind you.
Remember once upon a time there was loyalty, went our the door the moment EPL really started to take off.
The ME only has joined the party.
Look at the $$'s RM/Barca used to throw around long ago.
Bayern has spent a fortune for yonks.
Throw in the Italians.

Thatā€™s the point though, I remember many top talents in the old Barclays leaving for the powerhouses on the continent but was it for money or prestige (or both?)

Now it only seems to be about money.

Mind you the great teams of Italy and even Barca over the last years have lost their shine.

This transfer deal reminds me a bit of Oscar leaving Chelsea for Shanghai.

You'd think the ol days it was about prestige more than the dough but those moves always involved a higher salary but it was about stepping up the ladder in the hope to contest for cups let alone titles.
Whereas as you mention, yer that china boom, I shook my head Oscar going and it is about the $$$ now just like this 21yr old going to ME.

Wow Forest bounce back from 5nil loss last week to a 7zip thrashing of Brighton.
Like wtf Brighton.
Wood hat trick !
First Forest hat trick since Clough in 86 at home I think quoted.

Bring on coming games

Australia's own Chris Wood (via our 7th state) now equal 3rd top scorer in the EPL. Up there with Salah, Haaland and Isak šŸ˜³

Yes good you quoted 7th state lol
Who would have picked that by Wood - Nuno doing great job with that group.
Havenā€™t qualied for Europe 30odd years on the cards.
LFC got by difficult Bournemouth thankfully wasnā€™t a good game by us but absolutely valuable 3points MOMO !
Wolves turning up Villa.
Fulham same to Toon.
Come on Citeh sort out Gooners tonight

Who was the last kiwi to play Champions League out of curiosity?
Not much to on google but I did find this 2020 article that shed some brief light on NZ players in EU and mentions of CL quali's at most.

what a great comp EPL is to view this season, sure from a LFC perspective it is but so many games are so good from top to bottom.
In the meantime Leeds in the Championship is leading and very likely to step back in the big league and possibly Sheffield United and recent regular Burnley are knocking at play off door incl the ol Black Kats and Blackburn !

As for the EPL times are a changing as always, domination always has it use by date and Peps city despite still being in 4th are 15 points behind LFC, their days are done but being pretty good spoilers remainder of the season.
Will they make the 4 in the end as well.
Arse gave them a good licking at home today, confirms Manchester either side is done.
Arse finally got the better of them and looking worthy title chasers.
Forest amazing and great to see the unsettling of the usual suspects and proves any club with astute buying, coach can rise against the norm.
Impressive to say the least, they make europe damn brilliant.

Newcastle, need to find consistancy, they have the personel - a top 4 finish is very likely.

Chelsea another has a decent squad and couple of brilliant individuals, consistancy again and rebuilding is the challenge.

Bournemouth another small club punching above its weight and again proving you can compete with the usual suspects.
They make Europa would be like winning the league.

Villa finally made europe last season and this is their challenge backing it up with the additional games and expanding their squad.
Hope they hang on.

Next another smaller Club Fulham is 9th !

Brighton would be most unhappy where they are in 10th but followed by Brentford then Palace there's one of the richest clubs United sitting in 13th !
How sweet it is.

Poor ol Saints a given will be relegated.
Ipswich most likely as well.
3rd relegation looks to be a fight with Wolves and the Fox's.

The toffees and the Moys appointment has paid dividends pretty quick last few games taking them away from the relo battle for now 7points above Wolves/Foxs.

Best line in a soccer forum goes to......... "Arse gave them a good licking at home today", lol

Thanks Brenton.
What a great down to earth Dutch bloke and how smart are LFC searching for the right fit for the clubā€¦..
Timing is a wonderful thing when it falls in place.
Kloppy for sure had his influence with FSG for the best fit for the club and players.
Win win no matter what falls into place end of the season, we are in good hands for a number of years.
