NPL 2025

Maybe poetry is more your calling than football. I think you missed the boat with the late 2000's emo phase. Thank God for the Lakers. Carrying Aus football on their shoulders.
Maybe it is ... Here Ill write you special poem:

Do they still call you the Victory when you lose?
Do they still call you the Victory when you lose?
When your dreams go up in smoke
Cos your franchise is a joke
Do they still call you the Victory when you lose?????????

The game really is screwed with ppl like you involved thats for sure.. but im sooo glad your in the aleague part of it!

Lets get "Your" relaities in order shall we:

1. Your deepest-darkest fear remains SMFC .... even after all this time... if this isnt proof to all as to who the biggest club is (despite your best efforts mind you), i dont know what is!

Regarding your franchise:
2. Your best years were either under a loyal SMFC son (Ange)... or a backroom full of smfc proteges (trimmers, durakovic and and and)

3. Your claim to fame will be nothing more than a vile (non ethinc thank god) mainstream pitch invasion!

4. Your crowds are dwindelling quicker than your finances and your plastic league! Even if you refuse to admit it bc deep down it hurts soooo much that you need to deflect to feel better!

5. You will never be "a club" but a franchise! And we can understand how that hurts inside...but you can always go pretend your lotalty was always with preston even during those dark relegation years when it goes pearshaped... bc we all know for you its all about supporting the "most followed club" apparently.. ...this alone tells all of your footballing knowledge and scope!

6. Fact remains you will always be nothing more than pretenders, like you have been for all these years, for one simple reason, to be the best you need to beat the best!

Consider yourself enlightened... Well, as much as a feeble mind allows for anyway!!!
Don't forget St Kev :)

who would of thought spirit would be 3 from 3, knocking off blacktown and now APIA in the process.
A friend of mine's son plays for Spirit, he texted me during the match to say " APIA are shithouse " which is something I never thought I'd hear all things con$idering.

Smashing a bunch of academy kids ( ccm ) doesn't really count for much it seems.

no it doesn't EZ, how the cookie crumbles sometimes thats football.
Spirit is a good well run Club I know it very well.
They have recruited well through the off season and for just their 2/3rd year in top flight good on them though early days.

Mentionning academy teams I'm far against it - its not fair to them or the league.
Sure I get its great to blood in young fellas but not this way, you earn your way UP but more so your squad should be like the rest mixed of young un's and experienced wily fox's.
Thats how the young ones really learn more playing comp games with some seasoned players around them who guide/lead in the tuff times of pressure games.

Is great!

Feedback from what I've seen across my pyramid travels:
  • As far as I'm aware, FQPL2 does have relegation down to FQPL3 (but the actual structure of that, I'll have to confirm)
  • ACT's Capital League doesn't have relegation down to CLO1 (although I believe CLO1 <> CLO2 does, but depends on which club finishes last, as at this stage, these are essentially 3rd/4th grades of some of the bigger NPL/CPL clubs
  • WA - I don't believe has relegation from SL2 to the WA Amateur Leagues, but would have to confirm.
Actually @HappyGuus - one other question: the yellow/playoffs, is this just for playoffs in general (finals series), or specifically playoffs to be promoted/relegated?

If the latter, ACT's CPL only has the end of season Premiers promoted to the NPL, and the finals are just token top 4 for an extra trophy.
