Official LFC - Slotball 24/25

For some reason I had a bad feeling about this one Plymouth have good home support and created an intimidating atmosphere add to that a very dogged battling display from the team and maybe we underrated them, seen it many times in England the bigger teams find it very difficult to come to terms with which always surprises me because if you know this beforehand usually its a case of starting well getting a goal or two up and quell the opposition to kill them off early - exact opposite happens they got a pen go 1-0 up and suddenly its game on.
Too many experienced players played below par didnt lift intensity until the last 10mins and never really looked like winning - Plymouth deserved to win the game. Bigger fish to fry for Liverpool but disappointing to lose like that. I love the FA Cup for this reason but when it happens to your team its a killer

I know what you mean ... they don't call it giant slaying for nothing... I mean look at Man City.... Little Leyton Orient where 1 up for msot of the first half and gave them a mighty scare....

Christ been a while since here.
FACup loss was bloody terrible - one of the worst in a lonnng time.
Done out of the way positive spin might the best kick in arse we got incl Slot.
Now for a massive massive one I’m nervous as hell and the make up game we must win and of all things it’s the bloody toffees and last game at goodison.
A lot riding on both.
Here we go Reds

We’ll post derby they didn’t deserve it tbh thanks to the refs overall handling of the game.
They got so many free kicks compared to us ridiculous.
Anyway we move on back at home vs wolves let’s kick their butt.
Gapko out injured Jota starts up first game in months.
Bradley out TAA back at RB.
Let’s go LFC !

christ that 2nd half was hard to watch ! :(
Sure 3points is 3 points but WTF we were doing it hard for ourselves and @ home.
Thanks christ for Endo Quansah they really saved the day that half.
Nunuez is such a dud - I've tried to hang in with him but seriously he is not needed the sooner we shift him the better.
They were scaring and pumping the crap out of us last 20.
Why we have back peddled instead of those killing counters is why we are doing us no favours the last number of weeks.
Diaz goal lead up is what we need to get to.
TAA has lost his timing and radar having been out maybe Slot should have stuck with Bradley starting.
Jota needs to find form obviously but why not give Chiesa a run ?

Coming up a struggling Villa away is never a easy visit, they lift against us always.
We need these 3points before we meet Citeh away following game.

I dont agree about Nunez...... have a little patience dude....

since '22 - I give him credit for 24goals (MO annual avg :)) from 85 appearances but seriously he just isn't effective enough nor the finish at this level.
How much longer do you give him time when we can't afford more time.
They had to call out to him to get back and do some defensive work this game (a sub), you shouldn't have to do that to a player who is aware of the surroundings.
You know they are looking into Isak - gonna cost a bomb but he's way more effective and in open play.
IF we get around $30Mlbs after coughing out 64Mlbs good enough I say.
I like his aggro/kaos but its not giving us the return.

we have players around him that give the 'return" I like the chaos he brings and the attitude.... Fro every fluffed chance he draws 2 players away from Diaz, Sobi and Mo in the box.... makes room, its poor form I agree but if he gets a sniff he will be unstoppable..... I dont like Isak, Gordon yes, but Isak ..... meh.

yer true, the decoy boy :)

Gordon is damn good as much as I hate to say it being a long time toff but a scouse.
He's got great "attitude" he gives us hell when we play him.
Isak is polished got to say - 25 in the prime, 17goals to date and cause's havoc as well - he'd be far more effective than Nunez once settled in.
Doubt we'll get Gordon

Isak news
Isak ‘wants to play in the Champions League’ and if Newcastle ‘do not achieve this goal, he will force his exit and ask the club to accept lower offers.’
$120Mlbs ffs.

That was a complete game plan like I haven’t seen in sometime.
Feck all possession at Etihad.
They threw everything at us yet we were so composed so complete that’s a winning season game if I ever seen one.
I hate to talk too soon but we have one hand on that prized trophy !
The 2 goals were like surgeons so precise.
What work rate amongst this squad.
VVD Konate absolute rocks and running proceedings.

HUGE March coming up for the Reds... A flying PSG away and home in the UCL, League cup as well ... could have one trophy in the cupboard and our hands well and truly wrapped firmly around the Prem come the derby in April....

yer I have concerns the next few weeks with so many fixtures - purely hoping "injuries" don't prevail for this has been our best outcome to date feck all of them.
Not now please this last third of the season but what a position atm.
Slot is working the squad damn brilliant.

13 points clear. At this point wondering if they could stretch it to 18 or even surpass the gap record by the end of the season?

I think 19 is citys best off the top on my head CH, I think.

I said earlier the past 3 games we're going to be title defying moments with 10 to play.
Picking up 7 points from 9 was epic as far as I'm concerned.

15 ahead with 8 games to go......
What a friggin unexpected first season under Slot.
Lost that 1 game to Forest to date and no regret there now seeing they are genuinely likely to finish 4th let alone europa worst case scenario.
Arsenal drawing with united pretty much give us so much air its not funny.
Got to say Saints gave us a run that 1st half, we just weren't there contesting much.
Slot was smart making 3 changes at HT and more later.
The enigma puts one away and MO 2 typical brilliant pens.
As we are singing, we are going to win the League !

Now this PSG game coming up, they rested 8 players from their league game in prep visiting Anfield.
Enrique talking the talk, well bud your coming top our turf and dance to our beat ! if you can match like we did at yours fair play but we will come at you much more than last game.
2days rest we will be ready to rumble.

yes and no, surely winning the league first season in the EPL as coach has to be above Nuno's 3rd tenure in the EPL.
No doubt its brilliant Forest season under him but he could think damn what bad luck Slot has come in 1st time and blown the league open possibly in record time to boot.

well a set back and half but can only blame ourselves and worse copping it at Anfield :(
It was a top shelf game thats for sure between 2 top sides, I am amazed how much better PSG is without Mbappe actually.
Every player are very good on the ball and great engines - hate to say it smidge better than us.
Slot has quoted our exit was the best game of football he's ever been involved in.
I think bit of reverse psychocology going on, midfield ran their socks off (gravenberch ?) but not dominate despite the attacking opportunities, holes.
We are running out of gas - Slot needs to manage this carefully ahead.
Hope TAA isn't out for a few weeks let alone Konate ?

Lets regroup and go hard grab this Cup for if not it will double compound like last season what could have been.
I don't expect trebles but damn at least a couple of Cups after being in great position.
Got to give it to the Toon
