Interesting?hazelwood struggles in 4th innings imo. Doesn't attack the stumps enough and prefers a fifth stump line which is lethal in the first 3 innings.
Do you think a third stump line is more effective in the 4th innings?

I just don't like the BBL players taking over what I think should be top Shield players on the cusp of Test selection's territory. You surprised? BBL is Seven and CA's "cash cow''. Tho a packed MCG this week will add handsomely to their coffers too.
Yes Barrel is not exactly quick DC. Can see a taller, faster Hazlewood with that sudden bounce from a good length, but not Boland.I wondered the same about the extra bounce too, Baggers?
AgreeI just don't like the BBL players taking over what I think should be top Shield players on the cusp of Test selection's territory.
Shield players have virtually no recognition ATM. It is even difficult to find out live scores of Shield games in the mainstream media.
I've had a good look look at averages over the last few years. In the scheme of things it was an important knock. He is slowly regaining his form.
Yes please do LFC to lift the cricket membership. Just fill me in guys, Soccer is a winter sport , yes, Cricket summer. So hoping more of the soccer guys start posting here as plenty of cricket still to be played after this series. With tours to Sri Lanka and West Indies plus of course the WTC final.Didn't realise you were a cricket fan, LFC?
You should post more in this thread.
So am I.I'm still calling for Webster to replace Marsh for the next Test, as is Mark Waugh. It is even in the the mainstream media now, where Webster's last season's all round batting and bowling Shield figures, and this one including Aus A games, are the best since Gary Sobers.
One of the all time great Tests I've seen. The match ebbed and flowed too, with India playing very well at times, whilst being under extreme scoreboard pressure.Yes games like this are what keeps Test cricket top of the heap.
I remember you producing compelling stats that showed his performances dropping after the first two Tests of a series.don't think I've seen starc bowl that well this late in a series
usually tires, apparently his average with the ball is worse by the time he gets to 4th and 5th tests
We are both on the same page mate. Hunt or Tim Ward (26). I see the legend Steve Smith now making next years Ashes his swan song and with Cameron Green to return, unfortunately there is no spot for McS in the middle order for at least 12 months.Henry Hunt ( age 27) replaces Usman, and to shove McSweeney ( age 25) down the order, not to have dropped him.
Abbott - no!!!!!!!! No stamina. I've seen him bowl a lot live.Am hearing that the Starc replacement is more likely Abbott over Richardson. Are they serious. If Richardson is seen as able to complete five days of Test cricket, he has to be next cab off the rank.
Richardson is in the squad so CA must think he can handle 5 days. If JH is not match fit and Starc is injured or rested, I'm taking Richardson to Sri Lanka as he swings it like Starc, a good asset to have on their flat seamless pitches. Think O'Neill is more a seamer.Bird has taken most Shield wickets this season, but Fergus O'Neill has taken almost as many and is a lot younger.
Is he. Has played in India, dont think Sri Lanka. My smokie is Rocky. His extra top spin bounce on their flat pitches may surprise batters.Kuhnemann, playing for Tas, is highest wicket taker for spinners this season.
Welcome!Hello all, im new here. Having a read and catching up on the thread.
