The Ange at Tottenham Thread

Early Wolves goal from a free kick move. Spurs attacking and moving alright.

Levy is an absolute clown who doesn't understand the long term. Which manager could sort this situation better currently? Imagine Spurs if all those key injuries were even halved? It's part of the game but the spine of the team is gone.

1:1. Lovely corner header.

Once the usuals are all back and the squad is strengthened with good transfers, I can't think of a more exciting time for Spurs.

The culture around the play is what I like. You just know chances will come again. Of course Ange has to work on balancing things out but with better defenders and depth, it should improve.

Uh oh. Forster down hurt. He's back up but they'll have to monitor that.

Son has a penalty saved. Call it redemption as it was questionable. The contact gets a free kick anywhere else on the pitch.

Johnson makes it 2:1 just before half time. Good dribbling work by the team. It's not the attack that's the issue but it's always nice to watch.

Wolves with a late equaliser. Time yet but that's on the players. Ample opportunity to wrap it up but they went in too casual.

Anti Levy chants around the ground. Some Spurs players really did give it their all. You just think with quality depth to have blokes coming on running the same lines creating all those chances it'll be something to enjoy for years yet. I can't see it. Levy will pull the plug.

Full time. 2:2. Disgusting how Spurs didn't just put it to bed. The players were just too complacent.

Levy looks glum. Ange's has resigned body language. You've got to remember, if the place Ange is at doesn't buy into what his vision is then he will leave. He did that with Australia and he'll do it with Spurs.

By no means is the J League the same level as the EPL but I think it's pretty close in regards to competitiveness. There's no way you just walk that league without very smart work.

nothing Kevin Muscat hasn't done
Fair point. It seems that solid club structures go a long way too. Spurs meanwhile...

Bit like politics where one might say they've inherited the benefits or mess of the previous. Muscat certainly did Japan on his own terms.

I can’t see any manager turning this around. Just stick with ange ffs and see the project through

Everything is Ange’s fault including the Son penalty miss according to Spurs supporters.

They honestly think Iraola would leave Bournemouth for Spurs. 😂

There’s one thing for certain, Spurs have the most deluded fans in the Prem.

Well it's been a football day and a half. 96 fired their manager and named the new one, a former one, within 30min. Add Ange and Souttar. Big week ahead.

In terms of club size Spurs are probably 5 times a bigger club than Bournemouth. With an international fanbase that is maybe 10 times bigger than Bournemouth's.

With a £1 billion investment Spurs have one of the best club stadiums in Europe and their training ground is regarded as the best in England. If Spurs came in for Iraola he'd have to give it some seriously thought. Once their injury crisis is solved it's a much better all round squad than lil'ol Bournemouth....

Don't get me wrong they're a great little club, punching above their weight but realistically Bournemouth has probably reached its ceiling. Any ambitious manager there would want the Tottenham job....

Changing the manager didn’t help united much
Manchester United are a much bigger basketcase than Spurs. Spurs problems are mainly the tactical approach by the manager. Manchester United's problems are everything and everywhere.....

If Tottenham had a world class manager in situ they'd be challenging for the top 4/5. Currently they're a muddled up mid table side....

probably muddled lower half table side and battling to stay out of relegation zone if this keeps up

I think they may know a little bit more than someone sitting behind a keyboard in Australia.
