I agree very interesting stats and analysis. Are you saying though that Spurs football is 'too excited'? And what does Ange's style of football have to do with Guus' time with NT when from where I'm sitting Ange has played a brand of football in contrast to most other of our NT coaches at most levels.
As much as I love the man, of course it is a results based business and every manager is judged as results as their currency. But even considering the stats above, if Ange had the squad of Man City/Liverpool/Arsenal/Chelsea is he then able to consistently play his style of football? Even without players that good even if the squad was the same size as these other clubs the level of rotation would potentially counteract the injury issue.
Is it that his style is the issue or the simple fact that Spurs have a wafer thin squad for the current scheduling demands of the current day? Definitely probably a bit each way but we can't knock a bloke who has the success that he has had and expect him to revert to some other way of playing.
O'Leary, Allardyce, Pulis...these blokes had long managerial careers but you know what they never won a bloody thing. I just don't get people expecting him to play some other way. No one has ever expected a striker to have a go at playing defensive mid!
