Very disappointed in Ange. It’s unbelievable that he’s managed to turn Tottenham into the 4th worst team in the league. They’re so predictable and so easy to play against. I had a lot of sympathy during the injury crisis, but they haven’t really improved at all since. There’s just no possible excuse for losing so much.
I was convinced Ange would do well at Spurs. It seemed a good fit. Sad it turned out like this. Now I’m forced to acknowledge we’ve severely overrated him.
apparently the cause of the Maddison-Ange bust up was Ange called Maddison a show pony for not tracking back and Maddison responded with "It's better than being a one trick pony"
If this Maddison-Ange quote is true ... and who really knows ... but if it is true, that Maddison, a vice-captain, can say that to Ange in front of the team, then Ange has lost the locker room, and it's countdown to when he will be sacked.
If Tottenham lose to Frankfurt tomorrow and crash out of the Europa League, I'd expect Ange's pink slip to be delivered with little delay.
We can then re-name this thread to The Ange, Where Next Thread
I cannot see him getting a top manager post in any of the big leagues again.
I think he still has the fire in his belly, but he won’t manage in a top 5 league again. He won't, the big leagues by and large are recruiting the next gen of coaches.
Ange is part of the old guard.
I expect him to retire but happy to be proven wrong.
Can't even say Spurs we're lucky there. Their fight and will to hold on was more than the chances missed by Frankfurt. They never gave up and landed plenty of blows themselves. A true battle tonight.Ange not quite done yet.
Hopefully Ange fairs better against Bodo in Europe than he did 3 years ago.
