So who do we want as coach? Montgomery would make a lot of sense. I don't normally like the recycling in the AL but he is good. Who else is worth considering?

Montgomery is currently an assistant under Ange at Tottenham. Doubt he'd leave that gig for MV.
Harry Kewell might be an option. He's had a bit of bad luck as a manager but I wouldn't mind giving him a chance.
Mark Milligan was in the mix last time so could see him being considered.
I don't think it's an option but I reckon it would be super funny if Arnie took the job.

I didn't realise that about Montgomery.

I'd steer clear of Kewell.

Arnold is too dour for my liking.

Brady or Cklamovski might be options as Aussie coaches.

It might be time to go international.

Does PK have any history with Fornaroli and Arzani when he was at City? A quick google tells me PK was an assistant when they both departed City. Fornaroli clearly left on bad terms
Can't say but at the time City had Warren Joyce as coach with PK as an assistant. WJ had issues with lots of players and fans. Whether this had affected PK is difficult to know. Arzani is a special case though as he left for an overseas spot and he had problems in all of the European clubs that he was loaned out to plus his injuries did not help. Upon his return, he did not look too happy at the Bulls either.
As to whether Arzani should be starting, I am firmly on the camp that he does not have a 90+ minute engine. Hence whether Arzani starts depends on many factors including the weather, the current game and next week's game.
Should Fornaroli start? He has started this season but he no loinger is that effective. Basically father time got him - ditto Isaias at AU.

Can't believe he's ditched the club days before a derby. If you wanted to know the character of the guy...

If the Japanese club is poaching him, does Victory receive a fee/payout for the remaining contract?

Someone who's had some success at a lower level is probably the best bet, someone like John Anastasiadis maybe? The club is probably stupid enough to bring in Arnold... or Kewell who has failed everywhere.

Kewell did well at crawley until he left to notts

So Cklamovski just got appointed Malaysian head coach so he's not an option.

To be honest I try to be welcoming of any incoming coach. Just because a coach may not have had good results at another club doesn't mean they won't get good results at this club. However if they hire Rudan, I'm out. I'll be there at his first game with freshly piss stained shorts and a bucket in each hand.

@Monoethnic Social Club who's your pick of the NPL coaches?
Like other have said, I would think Johhny A deserves the shot... SInglehandedly set up the very first WU squad only to be passed over... Would need a fairly sizeable wage increase though as Bergers are looking after him financialy from what OI gather.

Another "dark horse" I think could help steady a squad like Victory is CT from Oaks.....
