u23 team of the season

Just realized that wyscout data is out. It is a much better algorithm than fotmob that I've been using and much better than predicting who will step up. Unlike fotmob and sofascore it judges your profile according to a particular role, even if you are playing a role that doesn't suit you. So if you have a playmaking striker getting used as a target man they could look rubbish to fans but still get a good score.

Here are some notable entries for our u23s who get a score of 75+

1) Patrick Beach is the best in the league as a shot stopping distributer with a score of 82.1
2) Matthews is the best defensive right cb followed by lucas herrington with scores of 83.7 and 80.8 respectively
3) Drew gets a score of 78 as an inside forward
4) Archie Goodwin gets a score of 85.3 as a target man

Those are the sort of scores you could have them go to a mid table eredivisie team/championship team if they find a team that plays them in their preferred role. I'm particularly interested in matthews and herringtons massive scores, despite them being in dysfunctional defenses! Also note that Beach's score is better than Paulsen's this year or last

Final u23 team of the year. Scicluna and Lopane with massive scores but miss the cut due to not having enough games

--------------------------------------Beach (2003,7.07)---------------------------------
-Adamson (2003,7.17)-Pantazopolous (2003,7.18)-Jones (2003, 7.12)--Bos (2004,7.27)-
-------------------------------------Teague (2002,7.36)---Priestman (2003,7.21)---------------------------------
----------------------------------------------Pearman (2006,7.28)------------------------------------------------------------
-Drew (2003,7.56)-------------------Botic (2002,7.33)-----------------Adams (2002,7.25)----------------

Average 7.25 compared to last year which was 7.06 from memory. So it is a modest improvement and there are only 3 players who are born 2002 which suggest that we will keep improving over the next few years

how far we have to improve to catch up to where we were, who knows, but we are improving

Four A-League clubs: Adelaide, Western, City, & CCM all rated in the top 100 clubs worldwide for U-21 players match minutes.

I'm going to keep track of all players with a fotmob rating over 7 to see how many get a move

If we keep 10-15 players in the a league it should actually improve the whole league slightly despite the exodus since we are keeping players young enough to improve quickly and are already good enough for a small step up from the a league. If a bunch more go to Europe then more osaussies to follow which is also good. So win-win
