UEFA Champions league 🏆🌟

Yer it’s throwing up a lot of wild cards but not unexpected being a new format.
 
LFC 1st loss in the CL even though qualified next stage previous game and with Barca drawing finished top of the ladder !
Only 2 regular start up players played this last game, the rest were academy players from 17yrs up and TBH against a strong PSV did very well !
Happy for them to get some top flight runs on their legs and experience for we have plenty games ahead being in every comp still.

The knockout phase play-offs are new to the competition in 2024/25. While the top eight sides in the league phase qualify automatically for the round of 16, the teams finishing in ninth to 24th place kick off the knockout stages. They compete in a two-legged knockout phase play-off to secure their path to the last 16.


From the knockout phase play-offs onwards, the tournament is a bracket. The teams that finish the league phase between ninth and 16th will be seeded for the first draw of the knockout phase and will face a team placed 17th to 24th. The seeded team will, in principle, play the return leg at home.
 
Still getting my head around it all but it has grown on me and certainly for the last round of games this morning there seemed to be something riding on every game so that alone was more exciting. Liverpool did ok this morning although i am getting more concerned with Quansah he gives the ball away too easily for me and felt sorry for Nallo the lad on debut getting a red card he wont forget that game im sure but thought Chiesa looked good and getting sharper each time he plays and McConnell had a good game too still finished top so far so good. Just pissed off that City won scraped through on goal difference story of their season this year

Look agree sorry for Nallo at the same time was a damn ordinary tackle attempt between his legs, yer he'll never forget that debut poor bloke.

Yep Chiesa finally gets 90mins and you could see what he can bring for us, damn good and strong on the ball using his body.
That shot he pinged was hard hence it being spilled so as Elliot could finish.
He had that other chance later that I thought he should have hit it first time instead of control then he slipped.
Yer more run on the legs he'll be damn handy ahead.

Well RM get a late winner away vs Citeh.
I think Ederson should be on the bench after that game.
Gonna be a huge 2nd leg back in Spain for Pep.
PSG will easily get through.
Forza Juve 2-1 up vs PSV but away 2nd leg will be a challenge to hang on imo.
Dortmund no worries 3 up.
