Anyone try to explain to me how Balard playing week in weekout in Holland and getting praise yet didn't get a minute of football ?? mind blowing, yet the aleague players and some overseas players struggling at their clubs got minutes Poppa has no idea based on that decision alone.

What did Ryan do wrong? His positioning was normal for each scene. The second goal saw the header in the kill zone. Ball is a good half metre away from his reach. Gauci's arms aren't 50cm longer.
 
Sucks that it feels like a celebration walking away with a draw against Bahrain. How far we've fallen.

I really think Ryan shouldn't play again - he's been below standard for a long time and the result of at least one of the goals would have been different if he were a normal height. It's been way more than 5 years since we could talk about his athleticism making up for that fact.

What do you base the Ryan comment on? He had nothing to do in this game, and couldn’t do anything at all for the two goals. No keeper in the world could have done anything.

Just realised. Yep, big questions there. It's the selections and tactics. No way in hell we don't have the players nor someone who could put a good system in place.

Popovic has months now to look on improving. It can't be about consolidating.

Do you think 2.1 metres is normal height? That’s what he would have needed to be to get to the second one.

It's not height. Watch goals every weekend. Tall keeps don't get to such balls. They're half a metre away. Tall keepers also miss things within their reach.
 
The Ryan comments are strange to say the least. No goalkeeper in the world could have done anything with either of those goals. Ryan's the least of our problems. At least with him, it's not heart in mouth every time he has the ball at his feet. Gauci certainly hasn't covered himself in glory so far.

But Gauci couldn't release the ball with his feet under pressure. Ryan did much better in this part.

Tomas Holy at Carlisle is 2.06m and even he couldn't reach stuff. People think a keeper has a tennis racquet in their hand. Sanchez came in at Brighton and can't reach shit. It's not a height issue and even then the ball is in the absolute kill zone.

Or Federici against Greece. It's pure coincidence. Gauci isn't getting to either and then had he conceded them we'd be all confused by him now.
