Michael Petrillo on Men January Transfer Window
“We are no different to any other club, we didn’t have any budget to bring any players in the window”
We knew we were starting to bring players back from injury”
Brad Rowse on moving men matches to Casey
“There is no plans. We needed a facility that would plan and build for the future. We are on a 30 year lease, it gave us security and for us to grow into the future for all facets of the club”
“ Casey has given us a home for our women’s team which is critical. The project for the mini stadium is $10million dollars which is on hold.
On Men at AAMI Park
“The club is currently in negotiation to extend the lease with AAMI Park for the long term and have no intention to move games away.
Brad Rowse on Fan Attendances
“The league decisions regarding GF have not helped as well as COVID Lockdowns.
We have a five year strategic plan on how we grow the club.
One of the main things for the growth is introduction of City Football Schools.
Over 10,000 kids enrolled and get a kit as well which have broaden the appeal of the club.
Brad Rowse on Active Support
“The club will always offer support and resources to help the growth of active.
Has to be fan driven and club will always offer support to help growth.
We want it as big and loud as possible we can”.
On South End becoming GA
“It’s time to revisit the idea of having the South End be General Admission”.
On Ticket Prices
“We have given free tickets they haven’t worked and increased attendance other than one McDonald’s promotion which filled the GA”
On Optics of Empty Stadium and any plans to build a stadium
“Stadium size in Australia should be 10-15k and it does kill the atmosphere”
We plan to stay at AAMI and absolutely committed to filling AAMI Park over 10k, club is desperate to get the attendance and atmosphere up”
We need members feedback and ideas to help grow the club and attendance.
Brad Rowse on the League sustainability
“There lots of green shoots but not growing as fast as we like.
The CFG is here for the long haul and commitment to the long term growth of Australian Football”.
On signing Marquee players :
“This is debated internally. We would dearly love to and have debated it numerous times”.
At this point in time our view is that it’s not sustainable and economics don’t stack up”.
Unless we can find someone who can turn the dial and is able to compete and contribute.
If we find some one who fits that bill and economically viable we would certainly look at it

The thing that stuck out for me was that they have zero plans of moving away from AAMI. Perfectly happy to eat those financial losses year on year rather than invest in an alternative.Oooooh boyyyy.....

Correct. His name is Simon Pearce. Very much in favour of the GF decision.Didn't City have a member on the APL board who approved the GFs in Sydney? As did Victory, and consequently he stepped down.
Player development is a positive even if their motivation$ are clear.I can't argue that.
Bloody hell what's the point of that when nothing positive got spoken there's no reason to support them

To be fair, MC only rent the lower level of AAMI, so capacity is probably in the sub-20k range. That being said, even at the reduced area I'm sure it's not cheap. Not a good venue for them.Stadium size in Australia should be 10-15k yet they are wanting to sign long term at a 30k + stadium.
Sincerely feel for you mate.. All Aleague animosity (from me) aside, it must be deflating as a fan to have the club you invest your passion into come right out and say that results on the pitch don't matter as long as we can develop players to sell... FFS they really treat fans like mugs ....I can't argue that.

Adelaide United owners said this a couple of years ago. Still getting good crowds at Hindmarsh.Sincerely feel for you mate..
