I'm seriously impressed by the results for the u-17. I was wondering if the u20s would be a once off golden generation but it's good to see the younger cohort are good as well.

We'll start to get to see more of these guys in the next year or two. I imagine having a second tier will do wonders for the opportunities for young players as well.

Jovanovic has a lot of promise but he lost his starting spot to Archie Goodwin. Ideally we sell Archie in 18 months and then Luka becomes first choice,

As for Badolato, he has big wraps on him but he’s only made one league appearance all season. Hopefully the loan move away from WSW gets him more mins.

Badolato is a play maker, so tough to break into teams at young age, but if good enough he'll get there.
Qintel for SFC is also decent.

Unfortunately he's picked the worst club to go to in terms of playing youth players.

I'm confident Badolato will get more minutes for Victory. We have faded in a lot of games because we haven't been able to rotate our midfield. Badolato is an intuitive sub for Machach so expect him to be a regular sub.

I think this is changing. Bos over Traore. Valadon (and I know a little older but Teague and Velupillay too) are starters. I think Badolato will be a regular sub.

I like it that we have some ball playing 6's in Luongo, Nieuwenhof and Okon. Then some 6's good at breaking up play in Balard and O'Neill. Then someone with Triantis's unique playing profile. It gives us all sorts of flexibility how we set-up. Guys good for now and guys for the future. It's encouraging.

Another huge night in Australian football! I've learnt over the years to never get my hopes up BUT there does seem to be a togetherness and steely resolve with this impressive lot.

Lets get at them fellas!
 
Looks like South Korea v Saudi heading towards a shoot-out. South Korea dominating the stats.
 
Saudi had it handed to them on a plate and nearly stuffed it but win on pens.
 
Working so I think I'll enjoy this later. We've made the WC and this will be a great test so taking it for the value of learning.

Japan's counter pressing is incredible for this age, but unlike iran we've actually been able to keep the ball when we win it back

very even game, maybe australia slightly better.
