Australian transfers 24-25 winter

Apparently Zadkovich confirmed Waddingham has been sold to Portsmouth.

We should probably be harder negotiators...

It's not like he's incredibly raw anymore. He's been scoring and playing robustly in the league so with that and his potential, it should command a higher fee. And yes, Roar have likely negotiated poorly here.

Albeit brief, to be plucked by a Championship outfit shows they must see something. The issue for me is 200k sees Portsmouth bear no risk and gives them leverage in how to treat him. They'll surely do their best for him but these low fees definitely create a gap between the parties.

The problem is that it's becoming more and more apparent as time goes by that this fascination with players from the A League is not working for us as a championship club
They mainly appear to be no better than league one level or physically are not up to the demands of that required at our level thus the high level of injury sustained
It's no use filling the training ground with players not first team ready without a reserve or development team for them to progress through
It's quite frankly a waste of valuable playing budget also how ridiculous is it that in some recent games we chose to have a couple of our academy players in the bench rather than Blair and Kamara
That completely goes against the "good to have a few U21 players available" argument
So Portsmouth don't have a reserve or development team? Yikes

If trues 200k is way too low for Thomas.... However lower fees to lower tier clubs could be best for National team.
The deal might not be too bad for Roar if a sell on clause was negotiated.

League 1 is great nowadays. Plenty of football. Some big and small clubs. It's either a springboard or where a lot of hard nuts settle. You see the England team with their own EFL history and early everyone gets loaned out there at a young age to play. Making the step up is the hardest part but it's the right place to get plenty of minutes.

Wish Donnell would give it a try but somehow I feel Fulham's U23 environment is a pretty good one too.

A lot of this has been posted but the rumours of Deng to Jubilo Iwata (J2) over MV and WSW and Sotirio to Sydney FC is news to me.
