Pros and Cons -》Home Kit

✅️ modern art design
✅️ indigenous background
✅️ white socks
✅️ retro number style

❌️ coat of arms no longer full colour
❌️ back of the shirt looks like "job not complete"
❌️ shorts boring in comparison to the shirt

For us, as a *personal* opinion, 3/5 rating

✅️ indigenous background design
✅️ retro number style

❌️ coat of arms no longer full colour but white, looks like a shop version. And the white colour contrast is too present.
❌️ the full kit looks like a referre outfit
❌️ shirt, short and socks should be in different colours
❌️ the collar reminds to a training shirt
❌️ fair to bring some colour to the kit, but pink 🤔🫣.

For us, as a *personal* opinion, 1/5 rating

I like it. I have a big collection of classic 90s/80s and the simplicity reminds me of this.

Plus good to have an Aussie artist design it instead of making it look like a bogan mess.

I reckon this will sell well overseas as well. Has a bit of a cool factor which is rare for us.

If this is it I’m not sold on it. Don’t like the black (?) collar and side panels. And I suspect the shorts would be yellow too, which I also don’t like in principle (they should always be green). Or what would be 100 times worse, black shorts, a la late 90’s. Black is not one of our national colours.

It's a modern take on the 1990's Socceroos vomit tops whichever way you look at it.
 
Main gripes to me across the both of them are:

  • Banana yellow is horrendous, especially combined with the lime green stripes. We don't have full stripes. Only time we ever did from what I gather, was an early 90's away kit (which I'm not even sure we actually wore)
  • Coat of arms is a single colour
  • Away shirt is better.. personally would have been great to have gold instead of pink there...

Oh, I didnt notice the pink side panel bits, I only saw this ... agree the pink is rubbish.

We had a blue and green vertical stripe adidas away kit in the mid 90’s

The single colour on white background coat of arms on the shorts has a jarring look.
 
They're growing on me

I just wish the badge was scaled down a little bit.

Have a feeling this will sell for some ridiculous price at some vintage/retro jersey store in a 20 years
